Wide aperture goodness
The only reason I did not give this a 5 star is because I have a crop sensor body, which makes the field of view a bit narrow. On a full frame, this will be simply outstanding. It does make for a very capable portrait lens and I have shot some stunning photo's of my wife, daughter and dog with it. I have even tried some astrophotography with it. If you have good stitching software, you can make a nice sky panorama with this.

Ideal pair for EF 70-200
You can double the focal length of your kens, but beware: it will "eat" the aperture (2.8 became 5.6).
