I wasn't too sure at first as this is quite a transformative device that turns a small camera into something far larger and heavier.

As always K&F equipment is well manufactured, the powder coating is flawless and everything clicks together exactly as you'd want it too. It takes about a minute to pop an OSMO 6, and only an Osmo 6, into the housing and start shooting.

The optional grip is big, heavy, and initially didn't feel natural in my hand, but after putting the camera down and picking it up again it soon became second nature. A very similar experience with the shutter release arm, odd at first, with next to no feedback when you've 'clicked', but it soon became intuitive.

My only gripe is with the metal screw heads that come into contact with the Shutter Release and the Mode Change buttons. Perhaps unwarranted but I would be worried about abrasion and wear on these components. I will be putting a blob of silicon or similar on these screw heads.

For me, this cage is ideal for underwater photography. A big button for the shutter plus an easy grip handle that you can use with gloves on. The same could be said for use in the snow, everything becomes a little bit bigger and easier to handle, so less of an action camera and more of a camera.
