Solid cage around the side frame, but doesn't have a protective lip
This will prevent your x5 from getting crushed from the side, but not head on impact. whereas your typical phone case has a lip that extends further than your phone so it never makes contact with the surface it falls on. Maybe it doesnt have a lip to stay invisible to the lenses?otherwise love that it has built in attachment ports on the bottom and side to connect your gear.it also has foam windmuffs on 2 spots to dampen wind sound.the rubber lens cap that comes with it falls off pretty easily but does its job. Overall I trust K&F concept designs though, so I'll report back how it holds up if knock on wood happens
