Strong and well made. It does the job but make sure you have the Allen key with you.
This K&F Concept camera monitor mount is fixed to whatever you are mounting it on, using a cold shoe mount which is tightened using the lower orange knurled wheel that you can see in the photograph although, in the centre of the bottom of this is also a quarter BSW threaded hole so that you can mount it virtually anywhere. In the photograph, you can see it mounted on the cold shoe mount of a camera pistol grip. Note that you can rotate the cold shoe square mount relative to the rest of the mount so that you can orient it any way that you want.On the top of the monitor mount is a quarter BSW threaded connector although this also has two, spring-loaded locating pins so that the monitor that you are attaching to it does not spin around this joint. One thing that you have to be careful of here is that when you are connecting something to the mount, you have pushed it onto the thread otherwise the two pins tend to push it off the thread - even if there are two depressions in the monitor that match up with those on the mount - they are rarely deep enough to have the pins go all of the way in.The construction is all metal so it is certainly strong enough for the job - here being tested with a monitor and batteries that weighs over half a kilogramme. It was easily up to the job, both in terms of strength and ability to hold the monitor where I positioned it. The tilt of the monitor is controlled by the orange butterfly on the right and that holds it in place without any problems at all.The one problem that I did find with this monitor mount was that the hex socket screw that you can see in one of the photographs just under the top, knurled orange nut, is that the hex-socket nut - which holds in place the square sold shoe mount - tends to work loose so after a while of use, where you, might be adjusting its position every now and then, it works loose and the monitor will spin freely. The supplied Allen key is needed to tighten it again that access is gained by pushing the monitor backwards or forwards all of the way in order to do it. The Allen key is quite small and due to this, is likely to be one of those things that is difficult to find in the bottom of a bag.Apart from the key issue, it is well built and does the job perfectly.
