I had an older Philips webcam that was all I needed, but I absolutely could not get Windows 8 Pro to recognize it. When I got this last night I tried loading the CD Software that came with it, but it didn't seem to be installing so I just plugged the webcam in (a single USB connection) and Windows 8 recognized it, installed the drivers and it was instantly recognized by the Windows 8 Camera and Video Apps and Skype. I used it for an hour long Skype video call and both the video and voice were flawless. That may just be a coincidence due to an unusually good network state for Skype that night or whatever, but all I can say is it was the best Skype call I've had. The only negative is that it may be that you won't be able to download the "additional software" on the supplied disc. Since I consider that bloatware (I just need this to work on Skype and Google+) I actually see this as a plus, but I guess some people may want tp use the disc. By the way, I'm using this on a 40" LCD TV that I'm using as a monitor and the USB cable was long enough to reach the computer in the lower cabinet of the stand (at least 36" away) and the mounting mechanism which is a folding plastic base was also simple to use.

If you are an owner of a Macintosh computer you'll be pleased to know this webcam is a winner and all I had to do was plug it in to a USB port and it worked right out of the box with Yahoo Instant Messenger and AIM. When I chat with someone who has AIM I use the Mac's instant messenging program iChat.You can not install the Windows software that comes with it, of course, but I didn't care about the bells and whistles. The video image was the best I've used. I am running OS 10.4.11 as I write this.

L'article marche très bien. Je dois regler les parametres chaque fois que je l'utilise car je n'ai pas encore appris comment enregistrer un profil. Je suis satisfait avec le webcam. La qualité d'image est nette et réactive.

Parfait, bon rapport qualité prix, angle de prise de vue suffisamment étroit pour des visios seul sans que sa tête soit noyée dans l'image, de plus petit volet pour obturer l'objectif quand la webcam n'est pas utilisée.

Now that I work from home I needed some way to telecommunicate, I did not want to spend more than fifty dollars though as I feel that is just outrageous, luckily is tumbled across and amazon restock and secured my own for retail. Super quality camera with great resolution and focus, I have yet to see a blur when using my new webcam. super easy to setup just plug it right into a USB port and you're ready to go!
