Great Starter Set, and Very Good Sound for the Money
Well, first of all, you can't beat the value of what you get for the price. Bear in mind, I am not testing streaming music or podcasts, but mp3 files from my library that I have personally EQ'd to take the dullness out and add some of the sparkle back in that gets lost in the mp3 compression process. Some of the more demanding productions, say a Steely Dan song for example, I had to go into my Music settings on my iPhone and reduce the treble (getting some cymbal sibilance), but on average, everything played fine when I was away from my wi-fi, so I was hearing files I'd loaded onto the cell phone. When streaming a podcast from my wi-fi that also played music (Broken Record, a podcast about music and they actually play entire songs, unlike most music-oriented podcasts that can't afford to pay the music rights) the music was good, sound was average, and you wouldn't know there was a higher quality of sound to be had on these wireless buds unless you've EQ'd and uploaded your own files. Great place to start for audiobook and music lovers. Also for cell phone calls, but you still need to speak into your phone. There's no mic on these, but you can hear anything that your cell phone produces audibly, without the wires.I'm sure, like my first cell phone, there will be upgrades over time. But these are great, pair easily, and you can't beat the value you're getting for the price. A great starter set over the way more expensive wireless buds. A way to get you started for $20 instead of $200.
