 All in all, this is an excellent camera. My dad, brother and I scheduled a last minute trip to go diving together and I thought it would be a good idea to purchase an action camera for the trip. Like many of you reading/contributing to this page, I wasn't really a position to fork out $400 on a high end action camera so I took this route instead. I don't know how it works but the image stabilization feature is the real deal! I forgot to turn it on for my first dive and there is a noticeable difference before and after. The dive mode helps. You still need a light for caverns, hence the dark photo from the bottom of the cliff, but the added dive mode feature really makes the right colors pop. These were all filmed in 1080p. I couldn't really justify sacrificing no image stabilization for 4k.Now, it's super important to note that this was the THIRD EK7000 Pro I ordered and all three had the same issue: the physical up button on the right side was permanently depressed and therefore rendered useless. Luckily, it's touch screen so I was able to work around it. I know this begs the question, "Why are you still giving them 5 stars?" The answer is simple: I ordered it over Amazon and the manufacturer was never made aware of it! I emailed Akaso, told them the situation and they sent me an RMA with a shipping label at absolutely no cost to me. At this point, I find it easier that the camera is fixed than replaced. As long as a company is willing to admit their mistakes and fix the situation, I'll always review the end result.Divers, this is a great camera. I'm sure there are some features on a high end action camera that you may compromise here, but for the weekend enthusiast, this is a win. Buy it with the recommended SD card and a Luxebell accessory kit and you'll be happy you did it.

I just received the camera and it's as advertised. Very impressed with all the accessories - much higher quality than I expected. Could definitely have used better instructions; spent a lot of time sorting through all the pieces.I wish there was a soft rubber cover for the memory card slot like there is for the battery compartment; the card slid part way out when I used it the first time, leading to a "no card" message. It would also be a good dust cover for the card and ports.Anxious to get it out for snorkeling and motorcycling.UPDATE after using for motorcycling and snorkeling: dropped the rating from 5 to 4 stars.Two features were a bit disappointing are the quality of the still shots, even at the highest 16 MB resolution, and that the date & clock have to be reset every time you swap out a battery.Also, the video quality at 4k is choppy, I suppose due to the slower 25 fps capture rate and no image stabilization option. For snorkeling, the 1080p @ 60 fps or 720p @ 120 fps with EIS are much better options and still very good quality.The remote switch works well. I put it on one of the supplied Velcro straps and wore it on my left wrist while riding. I had the camera mounted on an engine guard. It was really handy to snap stills or start and stop recording videos while riding. The modifications that would make the remote switch fantastic are 1) the ability to power the camera on and off and 2) a visual indicator such as a light on the remote to show when the camera is recording. I unintentionally recorded some very long segments because I apparently didn't successfully stop recording when I thought I did, but had no way of knowing it since I couldn't see the back of the camera while riding.Overall, it's a very good value; good enough that I bought a second camera for a friend.

If you need a camera to look at photos, electronic circuits, etc. and to have a record of it this may work for you. I had a microscope in high school and I think this product is more of a camera.I originally gave it a 1 but if you knew what this was good for it would be an OK purchase particularly at this price. The company offered to pay to delete the bad review I originally gave it as it didn't meet my needs for a microscope to see turntable stylus wear. I think the description and label of the knob is misleading and may need a better translation or description of what it is capable of.

I needed an action camera to take underwater shots in Hawaii and wasn't planning to spend a huge amount of money for one (eg. GoPro), so I settled on the V50X based on its solid specs. and great reviews. Overall, I was pretty satisfied with this camera, and given its versatility and the quality of pictures it can generate under harsh or atypical conditions, it will be added to my backpack for my next outdoor adventure.Pros:1.) Clear and crisp underwater images. All I needed was a non-blurry selfie with dolphins and the V50X delivered. I was also able to take images while filming, so this feature was also a plus.2.) I had the water proof housing on the camera most of the time even when it wasn't under water, but it didn't take long for me learn how to operate the camera using buttons as it was pretty intuitive. The touchscreen was responsive and easy to use.3.) A lot of settings and features you can control, such as the timestamp and whole lot of features that I don't yet understand.4.) I didn't bother taking nighttime photos with this, but where there is a lot of light, this camera performs to the max. Great for landscape photos and a good substitute for my mirrorless camera when I am too lazy to take it out.5.) Extra housing door and extra battery helps a lot!Cons:Not much, but here are a few.1.) I took a lot of videos with the waterproof housing on without knowing that the sound will be significantly muffled. As a result, the sound from the playback of my above-water video was hard to hear. It would have been a plus for Akaso to inform the user of the sound attenuation when operating with the waterproof case.2.) The latching part of the housing cover is thin and may be brittle. But an extra housing cover is included in this package, which is a plus, but make sure that the the cover is fully locked in before going underwater.

I didn't care for having to wade through the touch-screen menu in French, trying to find out how to change it to English, but once I pushed on and was successful, it was all good, and far better than the first one of these I ordered and had to send it back because it was all in Chinese and drove me totally nuts.The batter is quite good, about 1 to 1.5 hours depending upon what settings are being used. Charges in a couple hours or so. Good idea to get an extra battery so you don't have to wait for the one battery to charge before continuing to take videos or photos.I particularly like the ease and convenience of the Quick Capture Feature, even though the camera sometimes freezes up when using Quick Capture with 2.7 or 4K, which could be expected with some of the other limitations with the way 2.7 & 4K consumes large amounts of system resources.Although the sound quality is not bad with its 3 built in mics, even when using the wind filter, this camera is not made particularly with good quality sound in mind. It is made with the idea of using the camera when flying off a mountain in your wing suit, sky diving or keeping the camera dry under water. As an engineer I can attest that this is a very rugged and durable camera, which just might survive the impact, even if the guy in the wing suit does not. So if you are looking for good sound, most likely voice sound, it's a good idea to get the external mic adapter for the $50 in order to get the best voice audio.As rugged and durable as this camera is for a lot of very active outdoor use, you might be like me, someone who has lived out maybe 15 or 20 of his 9 lives, and do find it also very nice for just making videos indoors or out around the home. The many features and settings are fun to become familiar with and use. Overall I'm quite happy with the GoPro Hero 5 Black

I am NOT much of a photographer - I just wanted something that worked decently for getting some pictures/video in the water for a trip to Costa Rica. After watching a bunch of videos and reading reviews, this seemed like it was worth a chance, and I was very happy with the quality of the video/images. The menus on the camera aren't very intuitive to navigate, but are definitely manageable. I haven't had any problems with the waterproof cases after taking some videos of the kids/dog in the lake. I was also impressed that the sound was pretty good, even with the waterproof case on it, at least from the perspective of making some home videos. I haven't really used any of the other accessories. The only problem I had was the watch for controlling the camera didn't seem to work at all, but I never really planned on using that anyway. For my plans of the occasional vacation video camera for swimming/snorkeling/diving, this is perfect.

For a refurbished product you wouldn't know it. Everything came packaged nicely in a basic brown box. Inside was padding and the Sony case. Inside of that was the body and two lenses each with proper caps on to prevent dust from being an issue. Everything looks brand new. Everything works like brand new. Of course the charger, SD card and other items were all there as advertised. I used the camera for most of the day and took over 1700 shots with no issues and only burning through 70% battery life.The camera does everything an entry level professional camera will do. I am pleased to notice that the battery recharges inside the camera with the usage of a micro usb cable like your cell phone, I have plenty of chargers EVERYWHERE now. With a cell phone you can download an app and easily use it to transfer photos wirelessly or use your phone as a remote shutter release with a view of what you camera is capturing.Both lenses are nice and I shot everything from landscapes to action shots of friends and pets. Indoor and outdoor photography was excellent and the built in assist software does wonders if you are just shooting for fun. I had a group of 7 people amazed at the quality of photos taken in sports mode and other automatic settings while I was just playing around.In shooting full 24 MP pictures in Fine JPG mode I was able to shoot 10-20 photos in burst. Of course you can drop quality and shoot many more or shoot in RAW and shoot less. Point is it has plenty of buffer for me to capture someone pitching a ball, hitting a ball and it flying into outfield.Overall I am more than happy with this camera and more than happy with the quality of a refurbished device. Packaging was very nice and far more than I expected. I used to have a SX35 and D3100 and neither compare to this a6000 at all.

For a none tech savvy person this is perfect! I never thought that this camera would be so easy to set up, if you can screw in a lightbulb you can install this . The app also was easy to install and understand and the camera connected right away. You can look at it from anywhere in the world . You can set the light of the bulb to come on and shut off at anytime you wish. If you come home later the camera has a motion detector and puts the light on, so you never in the dark. You can set the sensitivity of the camera . At first mine went off whenever it saw the shadow of my flag , I set it to lower sensitivity and via the apps joystick like feature angled it so it now only sees the very front of my entrance . The company of course wants you to buy their cloud service , I am not going to do that, I opted for a special mini SD card made for security cameras and now I can record longer clips. Awesome is also that this little wonder has a siren, night vision that is clear, a two way radio feature and the motion detector plus you can be anywhere, the app alerts you to the motion and you can go to “live” and tilt and zoom and scare the intruder away either with a loud siren or you yelling at them. Scared a few of my friends for fun , it works ! It just gives us a little sense of security, the bulb camera is pretty well hidden in our light fixture and sees through the glass. Every once in a while a moth flies in and sets it off, but only till 11.30 pm when we have the light on the camera set to turn off . If anyone comes home later and the light is already out , no problem, the motion detection kicks in and gives off plenty of light to get into the house.I am super happy with this bulb security cam because everything works as advertised and is really user friendly !
