This 12" ring light by UBeesize is ultra-bright, and highly adjustable. Unlike other smaller ring lights that are powered via USB, this light has a dedicated 20W power brick and is able to kick out tons of light at five different color temperatures and ten different brightness levels. The included tripod is also highly adjustable, allowing the stand and light to go from a tabletop height of about two feet to all the way up to over six feet tall. At around $30, you get a lot for your money as the kit includes the large 12-inch light, an adjustable stand (up to 67-inchs in height), a highly adjustable and secure phone holder, and a Bluetooth remote. I’ve been using it daily for the last few weeks and it has not missed a beat; I highly recommend this light. Of the various options I have used, this UBeesize 12’’ Ring Light is the most capable and most versatile.I have another 8” UBeesize ring light which I also like a lot. The smaller 8” light is powered by USB, is not as bright and does not offer as many color temperature adjustments (3 on the 8” verses 5 on this 12”). The smaller 8” light features a controller along the cord, whereas this light is controlled completely by the controls below the ring. In many ways the smaller 8” light is preferable for up-close video calls, or smaller desktop spaces, as it is not as bright, and you can adjust it along the cord without having to reach for the light. However, the 12” light is big and bright enough to work as a primary or key light for portraits or to light larger spaces, while it can also be dimmed down for closer use. I have been using the 12” light on my desk for Zoom calls and have found I am using it on one of the lowest three levels (out of 10 possible). The ability to mount a phone or camera fully inside the larger 12” ring means you are guaranteed to get bright even light all around the subject. And the stand that comes with this 12” light extends very tall to nearly seven feet in height with the 12” light on top of a 67” stand. But you cannot go wrong with any of the ring lights by UBeesize, and I would just recommend you select the one best suited to your particular needs. If you are looking for something ultra-light weight and portable, or able to run off a USB power source, this is probably not the light for you. However, if you are looking for an economically priced, highly adjustable, powerhouse of a light, this is the one for you. The included USB camera/video trigger is also a great bonus, and helps limit the need for editing if you can start and stop your video recording remotely.As a psychologist working from home during the pandemic, I’ve used a number of different ring lights to brighten my face for sessions. This 12” light is by far the largest, brightest, most powerful, and most highly adjustable of the lights I have used. I have been looking for lighting that is adjustable as the ambient light changes during the day and something that will not shine directly in my eyes and reflect off my glasses. This is a challenge for any product and I spoke with a LumeCube representative who did not downplay this issue. He made some mounting location suggestions, but warned me that this was often a difficult problem to solve.When the lighting kit arrived, we discovered that the mount on the light is the same that fits our GoPro and it easily mounts on a tripod. I have it positioned several inches above my laptop camera and have no problem with glare and light shining in my eyes.The adjustable brightness and color is exactly what I was looking for.Lastly, the responsiveness of the company to questions, both on the phone and in the online chat, has been amazing.This has been a great choice for me for multi-hour online conferences.

After making do for a couple of years clipping my ring light to a tacky and delicately balanced yardstick, I decided I needed to spring for a tripod. At first, I was looking for one that would be just the right height for the ring light setup, but I'm glad I went with this one instead. While I just thought I'd use it for my ring light on my desk, I ended up realizing I had a great tool on my hand. Group photo? Sure! Fastened my phone to the top AND used the amazing remote control and BAM! Great photo! I could just click the remote over and over with no one having to run back and forth to the phone! Make a video for social media? Sure! Same thing: Use the remote to start and stop the video without having to move and reposition myself.This tripod telescopes so tall! It has innumerable settings in between the max and min settings. You can really fine tune the height. The base is also adjustable, so you can widen the stance or make it narrower . . . depending on your available footprint.At the time of purchase, it seemed like more than I needed, but it turns out, I underestimated how much I would use such a versatile, easy-to-use tool. It's sturdy and good quality. I'm patting myself on the back for making such a good choice.

I’m loving it so far. I got it for videoconferencing as my new home office left me pointing away from my window and I looked very dim. The light fixes it perfectly and the two mounts (clip and tripod) work very well. I briefly tried using the clamp on my laptop, but while the clamp is soft I was nervous about the screen and opted to use the clamp on bookcase shelf nearby; that worked perfectly. Recommended.

Updated Review: After my initial review, I was contacted by the seller and offered a replacement product in order to revise my original review. Within 2 days of receiving the replacement product, I had the same problem as the original. My husband uses this light extensively during Zoom meetings while working from home full time. Within 2 days, the foam tape holding the LED tape had released and the LED tape would lean against the light diffuser, making individual diodes visible and overly bright.I dismantled the original light that was received and removed as much of the foam tape as I could without damaging the LED tape ring. I replaced the original foam tape with 3M VHB double-sided foam tape and after several days of continuous use, I have not had any problems.Overall, this is a great light if you are taking selfies for social media, but the adhesive used is not suitable for extended use of the light for video conferencing while working from home. I really like that you can change the color temperature of the light and the brightness to suit many different environments. After my modifications it works great as a light source for video conferencing, but be aware that if you intend to use the light for 6-8 hours per day, 5 days per week, you will need to use a better adhesive tape. Popping off the light diffuser is fairly simple, and the LED tape was already separated from the back panel. I removed the top layer of the foam tape without damaging the LED ring and used the 3M VHB tape in small pieces around the ring. Replacing the light diffuser cover is a bit challenging for 1 person because you have to apply even pressure to the entire ring to snap it back into place. It was a simple procedure with 2 people.Overall, the tripod and included phone holder have had zero problems and I think the tripod is really high quality.Original Review: I was pretty impressed with this product at first because it was a competitive price and appeared to be a really good quality. After a couple months of use, the LED strip comprising the ring inside the light has detached from the back piece and is loose inside. This makes it fall forward against the diffuser and makes it too bright in areas with individual LEDs showing. I'm going to have to try and separate the cover to get to the internals and glue the LED strip back down to the backing. Which means something will likely break or I'll find the cover is glued on vs snap on and it will not be repairable.

Super simple plug and play function. I like that it has the dual ability to clip on my laptop as well as has its own adjustable mini tripod. It was easy to switch between the different lighting temperatures--which you need to adjust based on the amount of lighting in my room. I was surprised what a nice difference it made on my Zoom calls. Seriously saw a big difference from my low light high ceiling living room. Even with all the lights on and curtains open, it was was still a cave through my camera. Just one little ring light and zap! Face time got real again. Little things can make a difference.

After looking around youtube,twitch and amazon for a nice looking ringlight that fitted my needs if being small and cheap, after some time I saw a streamer that had the RovTop ringlight, after talking to him about it for a bit I ended up buying this light for myself.Here are some reasons why I bought the light1. Great price, alot of other ringlights are very high up in prince, some of them I seen as high as $230 (was not going to throw that much money on a ringlight)2. Very easy controls, to change the brightness or the color temperature.3. The tripod stand is small so it's very easy for me to on it on my desk when I stream and it takes up less space.4. Easy adjustable tripod so if you need it tall or short its super easy to do.5. Saying this again price was a huge factor for me when buying this light and the amount of reviews it had made it easier to buy.6. The box comes with pieces so you can mount your phone on it when you stream,video record ,video chating and to use as a mirror when doing makeup.7. Being powered by a USB adds another great reason to buy it, you can plug it into anything that has a USB port. You have more options set it up.8. After having this light on for so many hours it does not produce heat! Which is great because I dont want to add more heat to my PC setupHere are some of the cons1. I had a bit of a hard time getting the tripod lights to adjust, it did take me awhile to break it in so it can be easier.2. Which the power cable was just a bit longer (it's not that short but would be better if it was a bit longer)3. Packaging was a bit different compared to what others got in the mail, I messaged the seller and they said they changed the boxing. Was kinda confused at first.But overall if you are looking for a ringlight thata cheap,small,strong and easy to use I would heavily recommend this light for you especially if you stream or make videos!

 When you first turn it on the LCD takes you to the KELVIN white balance. You are able to change the brightness and the temperature of the light. If you hold the knob in for 2 seconds, it takes you to the next function where you can change the colors. Hold it down for 2 more seconds and change RGBYW to the exact numbers you want. The last function is 17 automatic functions that go through different colors at different speeds. I haven't looked at them all, but it is an interesting thing to use when you are done shooting to create a nice ambiance in the background. There is a app available but I couldn't get it to load on a android. The build quality is nice and they different plugs for different countries. The tripod works well and holds the light secure. I would recommend this light for portraits, but I needed it for bright lights for macro shots. I went outside and found a jumping spider and set up the light to grab some shots. This one attached is using the light. You can see the reflection of the large ring in the eyes. I hope you enjoy!
