Amcrest Support Came Through
This is my first Amcrest Camera (IP2M-841-V3). I have had multiple Foscam cameras over the years. I knew about Amcrest but held off after getting used to Foscam's idiosyncrasies and their setup. I set the camera up using the web interface on Windows 10. It didn't seem to matter what browser I used. I tried Firefox, Chrome, and Edge - they all worked. The only thing that didn't work was setting up motion detection. I couldn't get my settings to save. I texted support. The guy said it needed a microSD card. Only problem with that is I was using ftp to store video (which it would do for sound alerts) and the camera doesn't have a microSD slot. I almost returned the camera. I called support for a last ditch try and got Raymond H. He solved the problem quickly. I had created a second admin account. The setting wouldn't save using the new account. When I used the original admin account, the settings saved. Hats off to Raymond H. at Amcrest support.
