Canon M50- Not a good mix.
This is a good quality mic for its price. The audio quality is really good compared to the stock mic in the Canon M50, but there is still a good amount of hissing. I have adjusted the settings, and even updated the firmware that came out less than a week ago, and the hiss is still there. If you are using a Canon M50, a Canon, or a DSLR, I would choose another mic or you must edit your audio in post production. I have tried several clips where it was successfully done, but sometimes you cant take the hiss away or your audio will severely be distorted and doesnt sound natural. If you are on a budget, arent making serious videos (professional use, special moments, etc), or can chance that you can change the audio in post production, this is a good deal. For some, the only way to remove the hiss from the audio is get a more expensive mic such as the Rode Video Mic Pro or Rode Video Mic Pro Plus.
