Authentic RODE
It's definitely authentic RODE mic. I love the smaller size, fits great on my iPhone 6S. The dead cat cover is great. The Rycote suspension mount is great. I bought a Ztylus Z-Grip to go with it and it fits with the Rycote, but I wish the two would work together because there is nothing securing the suspension to the Z-grip, though firm, it could easily fall apart. With this kit I not only had to buy a Ztylus Z-Grip, I also had to buy another outlet cord to connect the RODE mic to my iPhone 6S. The one that came with the kit doesn't fit. I bought the RODE SC7 TRS to TRRS Patch Cable and it fits my iPhone 6S, but the RODE part never quite stays plugged into the RODE mic. I will have to zip-tie it. It's a little inconvenient, but let's be honest, there's no better mic on the market than a RODE.
