Good for camera video, but not for computer
This little microphone works nicely for video on my Sony E-Mount bodies. It is mono, and the sound for music is not as full and melodious as I would prefer, but it does do a better job than the internal mic at picking up a sound source at a distance with background noise.It did not work well plugged into any of my computers with a 3.5mm microphone jack or a USB sound device with a microphone jack. The sound is weak, like a condenser microphone with a bad battery. It also does not sound as good as the internal microphone when the camera is used for Zoom/Teams/Google meets as a webcam through an HDMI video capture device. For the best sound in meetings, a good quality USB microphone was cheaper and far more reliable.
