How do you open it up, plus there are no instructions?

Open where it says; "OPEN"! The box is magnetic. If you ordered this VND, you shouldn't need any instructions!!! BHW: THIS IS A VERY GOOD VND!

Not sure if I am understanding this question correctly but the box easily opens like a clamshell, just life on one side. If it is the plastic case inside, there is a little tab you push in on the front, then simultaneously open. Hope this helps.
