58mm 6-Point Fine-Line Star Effect Filter, Cine & Dreamlike Special Filter 18-Layer Coated Optical Glass with 3 Vacuum Cleaning Cloths - Nano-Klear Series
SKU: KF01.3143V1
A specialty filter that creates a burst effect from lights in a controlled manner, adding a splash to your pictures without much effort. Should be visible in my close-up photo, the starburst effect is caused by the very light crisscross pattern etching on the optical glass. It actually has a rotating ring on top of the threading so that you can adjust the starburst lines to your liking.
Very simple operation, but works well. Fits as expected into the 72mm. Great value considering it includes a carry case and three cleaning cloths.
A nice addition to photography kit without being a financial burden.

I like taking photos of my friends and family when we go check out christmas lights and these are perfect for getting a sunburst in my portraits. I have multiple k&f concept filters and as always, packaging is great and the filter works well. Maybe I'll upload a photo I took with it sometime.
It's worth the cost, it's cheaper than most brands and considering how widespread their product line is it's a no brainer for affordable, quality filters.

I’m always looking for a way to make some of my photos look unique so that’s why this filter caught my attention. I don’t own an expensive camera, so I’ve been putting my hope in any lenses or filters I might purchase. I have never used a starburst type filter and have realized that it will take time for me to obtain the effects I’m looking for. I feel this filter will work best with night photography which right now I don’t do a lot of. I have used it mostly at dusk and does an excellent job with car headlights and traffic lights. Like most new lenses and filters I have gathered, I’m sure when I spend more time with this, I will be able to produce some of the photo results I’ve been looking for. I will mention that I have purchased several filters made by K&F including camera batteries and tripods and never have had any issues with the quality of those items.

The K&F Concept 67mm Short Line 6-Point Star Filter is an absolute blast to have in your kit! For the price, K&F continues to knock it out of the park with budget-friendly filters that deliver big on creativity and fun.
I love breaking this one out for night-time cityscapes, street lights, and even concert stages—any situation where you want to add that extra pop and sparkle to your shots. It instantly gives your images a unique flair, making those “just for fun” moments even more exciting once you’ve captured the must-have photos.
Build quality is surprisingly solid, and the threads are smooth as can be. I’ve had budget filters in the past that were a nightmare to remove, so I always brace myself—but K&F nailed it here. No sticking, no binding, just easy on and off.
All in all, this is a super fun filter worth keeping in the bag. It’s perfect for those one-off creative moments when you want to play around and add a little magic to your photos.

The K&F 6-point star filter fits nicely on the Sigma 18-50 lens. Like other K&F filters, it features a large knurled grip and well-machined parts for easy use. The filter creates short, squat stars, giving the photo a touch of romance. The effect is perfect for Christmas lights or street lights, as it is not so overbearing as to distract. The best part is that it has very little effect on the rest of the photo's focus. Attached are two shots, one with the filter and one without, for comparison.

This filter delivers on producing a nice repeatable star pattern in my photos! I like how the star effect is limited, I have a different filter that produces large overlapping stars. The metal ring on the filter has even threads that attach easily to my camera lens. Rotating the filter changes the angle of the star effect so you can adjust it to your preference.
A quality special effect filter to add flare to my holiday photos!

I couldn’t be more happy with the end result of this filter. If you ever want those sparkles and twinkles of the lights to stand out, use this filter. It works on most catches of light. It’s more prominent when using this in dimmer settings but it can be seen clearly even in light. This will be so cool if you’re taking pictures of Christmas tree lights or the lighted star on top of the tree. I’ve played around with this lens before photographing the street lights. I think it helps to tell a story when you catch the starlights in your pictures or even in someone’s eyes. This comes with two microfiber cleaning cloths and a solid storage case for protection. The inside of the case has two finger holes to keep you from touching the glass off the filter while storing or taking it off the case. The case can even be used long term due to the good quality of it.

After my initial trials with the 4-point star filter from K&F Concept—the first one I tested—I was already somewhat undecided as to whether I would give it a full five stars. As far as my personal taste is concerned, this filter unfortunately cannot compete with a beautiful, multi-pointed starburst created by the lens aperture itself. Furthermore, with every light source, the filter produces a certain "aura" effect—much like what one expects from a mist filter. The 6-point star filter tested here performs noticeably better in a direct comparison; while the mist effect is still unmistakable, it remains a compromise.
To be fair, however, it must be acknowledged that with most lenses, you can only achieve a beautiful aperture-generated starburst by stopping down the aperture significantly. This isn't always possible, nor is it always desirable. With this filter—provided all other parameters are right—you can achieve a starburst even at wide-open apertures. To do so, the light source must be bright and, ideally, as small as possible. Unlike the rays produced by my lens's aperture, the rays generated by this filter appear noticeably wider. Another striking observation was that, given identical settings, the rays produced by the 6-point filter are shorter than those produced by the 4-point filter. It is perhaps an interesting fact that the effect appears to be more concentrated when fewer rays are involved.
Notably, there is no "prism effect" here—no colorful fanning-out of the rays like a rainbow. The actual color of the light source is preserved exceptionally well. I think this is a great feature, as the lack of such preservation has often bothered me significantly with other star filters. Since the filter glass rotates independently of the mounting thread, the starburst rays can be aligned exactly as desired.
As is typical for K&F filters, the build quality is absolutely impressive. The threads engage smoothly when screwing the filter onto the lens, and the glass rotates easily—though not *too* loosely. The filter comes in a practical plastic case and includes three of K&F's signature individually sealed cleaning cloths.
Given the quite reasonable price point, this is a lovely solution for anyone who is looking for exactly... Search for this effect
My Rating: 5 Stars – A perfect product, or at least almost

This filter truly puts the light in the right light! :)
The quality of the threading is good and feels premium.
I’m always delighted when simple products simply do exactly what they claim to do—and that is certainly the case here.
The starburst effect works flawlessly (see photo).
There is absolutely nothing to criticize here. If you’re looking to get a little creative with your photos, I highly recommend picking this up.
Three microfiber cleaning cloths are also included.
Definitely a recommended buy!

In an era where post-processing is becoming increasingly "accepted," it is refreshing to see that there are still products available that allow for creative photography in the traditional manner.
Specifically, this Star Filter from the ever-prolific K&F Concept allows you to experiment with light diffraction effects and create those classic "spikes" around point light sources in the background. In this particular instance, the filter produces six spikes per light source—and it does so exceptionally well. The diffraction lines are very sharp and visually appealing, while the neutral section of the filter—being of excellent quality—does not degrade the quality of the final image.
As is always the case with K&F products, the build quality is truly excellent; the metal housing is flawless, and the threading turns smoothly without any issues.
Included in the package, in addition to the filter case, are three individually sealed cleaning cloths.
For anyone seeking this specific effect, I recommend it without hesitation!
