58mm 6-Point Fine-Line Star Effect Filter, Cine & Dreamlike Special Filter 18-Layer Coated Optical Glass with 3 Vacuum Cleaning Cloths - Nano-Klear Series
SKU: KF01.3143V1
The K&F Concept 6-Point Starburst Filter arrived packaged in a simple plastic case inside a cardboard box, and included three individually wrapped cleaning cloths.
The build quality seems good to me. The filter screws easily onto lenses with a matching thread diameter—in my case, for example, onto a Canon RF 85mm f/2.0.
Of course, one should always keep in mind that any piece of glass mounted in front of a high-quality lens will inevitably degrade image quality to some extent; however, the quality of this filter seems absolutely fine to me, and I haven't noticed any perceptible degradation during my usage so far. Nor does it present any disadvantage compared to time-tested brand-name filters—such as those from Hoya—that I have been using for years.
A starburst filter causes light sources—particularly smaller points of light—to appear with "star-shaped" rays in your photos. This filter can also be adjusted by rotating the front element, allowing you to slightly alter the direction of the rays.
It is a very nice effect—and for me, an especially interesting addition to my gear during the Advent and Christmas season. In my people and portrait photography involving background lighting (e.g., in the evening at a Christmas market or during street photography), this allows me to add some creative variety. It is certainly versatile enough for use in other contexts as well.
Incidentally, there are different variants available—such as a 4-point starburst filter—which produce only 4 light rays instead of 6 for the "star-shaped" highlights.
Conclusion:
Anyone who enjoys experimenting with physical filters—and prefers to capture their photos "complete in-camera" rather than doing everything in post-processing—will find this to be an interesting addition to their kit. So far, I’ve found it to be a filter that fulfills its purpose and appears to be flawlessly constructed. All in all, I am satisfied.
However, when shooting subjects without strong, distinct light sources, you shouldn't expect to see any noticeable effects from this filter. The example photo—with and without the filter—was taken with an 85mm f/2 RF lens at f/2.0, using an LED flashlight set to a lower power level as the light source.

The K&F CONCEPT 82mm Variable Short Line Star Lens Filter (6 Point) is an excellent addition to your filter kit.
I picked this up just before the holidays and being able to adjust the number of star points by simply twisting the filter is very easy and creates a great look for points of light.
The filter doesn't seem to darken images at all making thing still sharp and bright.
It's an easy install of just threading onto your 82mm filter thread on your lens and you are good to go.,
Love this filter in my kit!

I wanted to experiment with starburst effects on my night photography without spending hundreds of dollars on professional glass.
Pros
Creates a clean 6-point star effect.
Does not make the image soft or add distortion.
Very affordable at around $20.
Effect is subtle and not overwhelming.
Cons
You really need the lights to be much brighter than the background for the effect to show up.
K&F Concept is usually a reliable brand for budget gear, and this filter is no exception. It is a fun way to experiment with creative shots without a huge investment. The best part is that the glass is decent quality; it does not introduce weird flare distortion or make your sharp photos look soft, which is common with cheap filters.
The 6-point star effect looks great on streetlights and car headlights. Just keep in mind that this works on contrast. The light source needs to be significantly brighter than the surrounding area. If the scene is too evenly lit, you won't see much of a difference. I used the 58mm size and it threaded onto my lens perfectly.
Value For about $20, this is a steal. You are getting a clean optical effect for a fraction of the price of high-end brands. It even comes with cleaning cloths, which is a nice bonus.
Comparison While the build might not be as heavy as a $100 pro filter, the image quality is surprisingly close. It allows you to get that "starburst" look without having to stop your aperture all the way down to f/16.
Verdict Perfect for photographers who want to play with lighting effects on a budget, provided you are shooting in high-contrast environments.

This Star Lens Filter provides some neat effects. I found it particularly useful during the holidays taking shots in front of the lit Christmas Tree. I have yet to try it on night time street photography but I expect it to produce great results for that as well. This is not a filter that I would be carrying around with me all the time, but for those instances where I want to get a bit creative it fits the bill. I went with the largest sized filter that matches my largest diameter lens so that I can use step up rings on my smaller lens diameters to make best use of the filter. K&F is my first choice in filters as their build quality is excellent and they provide great value. They have filters at just about every price point depending on your budget and needs.

The K and F Concept 77mm Variable Short Line Star Lens Filter is designed for photographers who want creative starburst effects with control. The optical glass feels high quality, and the adjustable star lines allow customization instead of locking you into a fixed look.
I used it for night photography and holiday lighting scenes, rotating the filter to fine tune the starburst effect on point light sources. The results stayed clean and intentional, and the filter did not noticeably soften the image.
This filter works best when used thoughtfully. It adds atmosphere and character without feeling cheap or distracting. For photographers who enjoy in camera creativity, it offers flexibility and solid optical performance.

As a newbie photographer trying different lighting and filter effects, this was a great filter to use for night shots with lights. I chose the 67mm filter which fits over my standard lens. In trying different conditions, I found the best results when shooting with higher contrast between light and dark. I had great results shooting night scenes with city lights and Christmas tree lights. I also tried indoor shots that I thought would work, but there was not enough contrast for the filter to be effective. It turned out to be a great learning experience for me, at a very affordable price. The filter produced a nice star effect with each light; the short lines were just about right for my liking. It was a nice sparkle effect that made the image pop. I also like that it came with cleaning cloths, although I prefer what I already use.

Great Quality Glass With A Nice Effect!
As with all the K&F Concept items I own, this is made with top quality materials and it shows in every use. The glass is very nice, ultra smooth and not an imperfection to be found. Threads on to all of my 67MM gear without issues, and has a nice precise thread. A nice pouch is included to keep it safe when not in use, and great packaging as with many K&F items that can be reused as a photo frame to cut down on waste. A good choice for those looking to add a nice star effect to their photos, that works especially well with Christmas pictures.

As a novice photographer, I found this 6 Point Variable Star Lines filter to be an incredibly interesting lens to try. It adds a beautiful, customizable starlight effect that makes night scenes, city lights, and even jewelry shots look more vibrant and artistic. The adjustable 6 point star design gives me plenty of creative flexibility, letting me experiment based on lighting conditions and style. I also appreciate the clear, vivid results. The sturdy aluminum alloy frame feels durable, yet the filter itself is lightweight and easy to carry for outdoor shoots. Overall, this lens filter is priced very affordably, making it a perfect choice for beginners like me who want to explore creative photography without spending too much.
