58mm 6-Point Fine-Line Star Effect Filter, Cine & Dreamlike Special Filter 18-Layer Coated Optical Glass with 3 Vacuum Cleaning Cloths - Nano-Klear Series
SKU: KF01.3143V1
I ordered it in the 82mm size so I could use it with various lenses via step-up adapters, and I believe that was a very wise decision, as I get great use out of it across a range of focal lengths.
The filter creates a six-pointed star effect on all point light sources—making string lights, streetlamps, and illuminated shop windows look incredibly striking in photos. The best part is that you can rotate the filter to change the orientation of the stars, allowing you to fine-tune the effect to suit your image composition; the rotation mechanism operates very smoothly yet firmly holds the position you select without drifting on its own. The threading screws easily onto the lens without binding or any issues. The Japanese optical glass—featuring an 18-layer multi-coating—minimizes internal reflections and maintains excellent light transmission; I’ve noticed that it introduces no appreciable color casts and does not significantly degrade the sharpness of the base image.
It comes with three microfiber cleaning cloths—which work very well for keeping the glass clean—all neatly stored inside a sturdy plastic case.

I chose this filter to experiment with a creative effect directly during the shooting phase, without having to resort to digital solutions in post-production. The idea was to achieve controllable starbursts—specifically six-pointed star lines—especially when dealing with intense highlights or direct reflections.
The aluminum alloy frame feels solid, featuring a smooth rotation mechanism that allows for seamless adjustment of the six-pointed lines' orientation. The threading is precise and screws onto the lens correctly, with no lateral play. The AGC glass is crystal clear and introduces no noticeable color casts into illuminated scenes.
The star lines are sharp and relatively short—a characteristic I find pleasing, as it doesn't overpower the image. Upon closer inspection, the rendering varies significantly depending on the intensity of the light source and the distance of the light point. The multi-coating technology helps reduce unwanted reflections and flare, although I imagine that in certain situations involving very strong lights, some secondary reflections might still appear.
In practical terms, the ability to rotate the filter 360° allows for immediate and rapid customization: a simple twist is all it takes to alter the orientation of the star points. The resulting creative control is responsive, and I must admit that this gives me a pleasant sense of compositional freedom.
It is lightweight and easy to carry along, even in bags that are already full. The glass appears to be well-treated, showing no halos or visible imperfections. I cannot say how well it will withstand minor scratches over the long term—especially since an artistic filter like this is often handled more frequently than a standard one.
Essentially, this is an accessory that adds character without going overboard. The final result depends heavily on the specific scene, but the filter's general behavior is controllable and intuitive—something that is always useful when working with creative effects.

I have purchased plenty of K&F CONCEPT lenses for my photography however, I have never tried a special effect lens like this for night photos.
It works as advertised; offering a star effect to lights as pictured and is fairly easy to figure out the best way to use it. It will take a few practice shots upon the first use to get the use down-pat. Once you get the hang of it, you'll know exactly what to do.
The effect is pretty neat when you've got the right angles, exposure, and lighting tuned in for the photo.
As with all my previous experiences using the K&F CONCEPT product, this provides the quality I expected.

The Starburst filter impresses with its solid workmanship and high quality. It attaches securely and reliably to the lens, without wobbling or being difficult to remove. The resulting light effects are very interesting and lend photos a creative, eye-catching look. Overall, it is a well-made filter that impressively supports creative photographic ideas.

This is a nice little filter that makes a very good impression; it transforms lights into a "star" effect, creating a beautiful artistic look—perfect for the holiday season.
It doesn't degrade image quality, which is an excellent feature—especially when used with ultra-wide-angle lenses that are highly sensitive. For the price, it's a great value; I'll definitely pick up another one for my 16-35mm lens (in 82mm).

I tested this 67mm K&F Concept 6-point star filter on my lens for night photography, and the results are truly superb. Light sources—such as streetlights, car headlights, string lights, etc.—transform into sharp, elegant stars, instantly giving the photo a cinematic and artistic look.
The optical quality is excellent: there is no noticeable loss of sharpness or unwanted color cast. The threading fits my lens perfectly (with no looseness or binding), and the filter rotates smoothly, allowing me to easily adjust the orientation of the starburst rays to suit my framing.
A special mention goes to the three included cleaning cloths, which are very handy for keeping the lens spotless. The packaging is well-executed—as is often the case with this brand.

I deliberately purchased the K&F CONCEPT Starburst Filter (6-point) in the 82mm size. This size offers maximum flexibility, allowing me to adapt the filter to various lenses within my system using step-up rings.
Build Quality & Package Contents: The filter comes in a sturdy plastic case that serves as an adequate storage solution. In my case, three individually wrapped cleaning cloths were also included—a useful accessory. The filter thread is cleanly machined and screws onto the lens effortlessly.
Practical Functionality: The defining feature of this filter is its rotatability, which allows for the precise alignment of the starbursts. On this particular model, the adjustment mechanism operates very cleanly and smoothly. The rotational resistance is well-calibrated: it is loose enough to allow for quick adjustments, yet firm enough to reliably hold the chosen position. This enables the precise alignment of the 6-point starbursts—a capability that is essential for deliberate creative composition.
Applications: As expected, this filter excels in night photography. It is particularly effective during the Christmas season at holiday markets, where it can atmospherically enhance the many strings of lights and illuminations. However, it also delivers the desired creative effect in other settings—such as at concerts, when photographing vehicles (headlights), or in product photography (for specular highlights).
Conclusion: The K&F CONCEPT Starburst Filter meets expectations exactly. It produces a beautiful, clearly defined 6-point starburst, the axis of which can be precisely controlled thanks to the smooth rotation mechanism. A solid tool for creating creative lighting effects.

Some people like to use image editing to add things like light flare, and I understand that offers more flexibility and adjsutability than using a star filter, but being a traditionalist I believe the best photos are produced in the camera, not the editing software. Using a star filter on the lens lets you produce the best image possible, from the start, and enhances your photographic skills. This K&F star filter works well on several of my cameras; I used it with both zoom and fixed focal lengths on my Nikon and Sony gear. The rotatable filter lets you line up the 6-branch star burst specifically how you like it. The filter has an excellent coating which both protexts the lens as well as reducing flare and saturation. I don't use a star filter a lot, but it makes for some great night shots when I travel.
