Best for the money
I also bought the Rhode Video Micro and the build quality is exactly the same aside from the rubber vibration dampening mount and cable that comes with the Rhode. It definitely is an improvement over a built in phone or camera microphone for sure and is a great size for vlogging (I don't vlog though). But if you're gonna need something better than either of these two mics, just look for a dedicated recorder and boom microphone. Also, the wind screen is really good at filtering out wind noise, but it's super huge. Would be nice to have something that doesn't defeat the purpose of the mic's low profile design.
