I ordered this to replace a standard hiking backpack for when I go fly fishing AND to hold my camera. But primarily to hold all my fishing gear.It fits one rod perfectly but you can slide another Inside the top. The customizable bottom pouch fits 3 reels perfectly as well! So you can head out with several configurations without having to go back to the car.Pros;This stands up on its own! If you’ve used other bags that don’t this helps keep dirt and everything else off the sides of your bag and keep everything cleaner. In addition it makes going through the bag easier because you’re not fighting with it.It’s very sturdy, the sides are thick and the bag has a separate inside liner.The inner orange organizer is completely customizable and comes with a removable separator to go above it.The cobra buckle is a nice touch.The top zips closed and folds to help keep water out in any rain. Plus it also comes with a decent rain fly cover.While it has some reflectors sewn in its not a bright and flashy color. Some others are bright neon colors and that’s not for me.Cons:The fit seems a little off. It rides a bit high on the torso. I feel like if I adjust it that it will put too much pressure on the straps.Seams are only single stitched. They should at least be reinforced around spots like the straps but they aren’t.It’s listed as a “waterproof” backpack but I would really call it water resistant. The way the zipper and flap are setup on the one side I would be careful there. If you don’t pay attention and zip it up fast the flap will be tucked into the backpack and rain water, or a slip and fall in water/puddle will almost certainly get the contents wet/damp.I would have rather had a cheaper clip replace the cobra buckle and had that cost put toward reinforcing the stitching. I probably would be Rating this 5 stars if it that were the case.Overall I’m very happy with this backpack and it will be good for what I needed.
