I bought a new 16GB for use in my Android phone, and got just under 2 1/2 years of use out of it before the card went corrupt. Thankfully, the card reverted to read-only and didn't result in total data loss. 2 years seems to be all the life you can get out of an SD card, as a used grade 4 I bought before this lasted almost that long.
