It does not have the black cross spot!
so far, it's as i expected: no cross pattern, bulky enough for my careless hand. Will try to take some more pictures to see the image quality

Good entry level telescope for kids.
My 5 year old daughter is very much into space. I bought this as a surprise to her and she was beyond excited to see the moon from this telescope. This is a great entry level telescope especially for kids to kindle to curiosity about moon, stars and other planets.

Worth every Penny!
Wonderful, great starter Telescope and looking at the crescent Moon with the neighborhood kids just at dusk was worth every penny to see the excitement on their faces.

Great telescope, especially for the price.
Other reviews cover it well, just adding that a moon filter would be helpful to get as well because it's really bright! I held my hand a few inches away from the eyepiece and could see a distinct moon shape on it.

BEST GIFT FOR ANYONE WHO LOVES SPACE
My son and I love looking at the moon. We've stayed up late most nights when there is a blood moon or eclipse just to admire space. We love looking at stars when we go camping and there isn't alot of ambient light. This telescope will be even better. Now we wont have to rely on our naked eye to see the moon and stars. I cant wait to see his face when he opens it Christmas morning. This telescope is very well made for the money!

Loved the moon light
Loved the moon light.The only issue I see is we need to make sure we charge it everyday to have nightlight for 7 hrs

solid works very well and is good quality see the moon very clearly 13 yr old daughter navigates and sets up with ease
