Camera works well as a sports camera, but features/details are misleading.
I bought this camera (which is a lot more expensive than much of it's non-gopro competition) specifically because the description says "External Microphone Supported" which is a feature I want, so that I can record sound from a different spot than the camera is located.So I ordered the SJ6 Legend, and a 4.5 star reviewed USB mic that fit's the mini-USB (not micro) connection. When I get it the microphone doesn't work. The camera clearly recognizes something is there because it cuts off the built in mic, but the external mic produces no sound. I confirm the mic works by plugging it into my computer, and then contacted the seller, where they informed me that the only mic that will work is the one SJCAM produces, which is not only more expensive and clearly lower quality than the one I bought, but only has a single 1 star review.Otherwise the camera works relatively well, but I am upset about spending ~$70 more than I had to just to not get the functionality I was looking for.Instructions are also quite lacking, but the camera is easy enough to operate despite this.I think 3 stars is generous.

These headsets are great for your needs!
These headphone are great for your basic microphone/headset needs. I think they are comfortable enough to wear for long periods of time. You can move the mic up and down and there is a mute switch for the mic.

Great product great price
Bought two of these mic along with the Zoom mic which cost more.When playing back the podcast that I had recorded, this microphone sounded much better than the more expensive one.

Fantastic mic, great quality

Perfect for skyping with the grandkids
Needed a microphone to complete my setup for Skype and I found this webcam with a mic for no more than a mic would have cost alone. Cuts down on wire clutter.

Great Sound from this Microphone
This microphone produces a really nice sound.We have a Shure PG58 that sounds like crap when compared to this mic.Very happy with this purchase. If you are looking for a great preforming mic on a budget, this is the mic for you.Cheers, Ross.

I Mean... It Works
I use the Samson Go Mic as a replacement for my broken, internal mic on my laptop. I video conference with it. The mic is plug and play. My computer likes to recoginize it as a speaker as well, so I typically need to make sound adjustments once the mic is plugged in and on. I never get complaints from other's that they cannot hear me well, or clearly, so it must work just fine in that regard. I like how compact and sturdy the mic is. It securely clips to my laptop screen. I have also made it stand in the center of the table, so that my kids and I can sit and chat with their grandparents and all use one mic. There are multiple settings on the mic to allow it to be used for an individual or a group.My one complaint: The Samson Mic comes with a carrying case that only fits the microphone. The case needs to fit the microphone AND the cable that attaches the microphone to the computer. It's like having a laptop bag that doesn't fit the charging cable; annoying.

Professional sounding mic
Very good quality microphone. The weight of the microphone gives it a professional look and feel. Fits great on any boom mount or tripod holder. Gain control is very good, the mic has a full sound. I really appreciate the headphone feature to check your sound quality. The sweet spot of the mic is in the center, make sure you mount the mic pointing towards where you are speaking.
