Purchase two of these for work. Had the supervisor try one out first. He likes it for working out of the airport tower. I myself have a set of binocular that I really enjoy. It has a zoom lever. Just wish these had that set up. No matter how I look or type on Amazon. I could not find anything like mine.

2x or a 3x ??
Just received this Travel scope, for my grandson, seems to be quite good, I would like to buy him now, either a 2x or a 3x, but cannot find the size we need, i.e. "thread-size", help please.Thanks for any info.Marlene.

12 x 50 NOT 40 x 60.
I ordered this as a 40x60. It is a 12x50. The whole decription has been changed since I ordered (except in package contents). This is clearly missleading. It even states 40x60 on the focus ring. However, as a 12 x 50 it is pretty decent monocular, bright image, comfortable rubber feel, just not what I ordered.

Everything I was hoping for, I use the glasses for searching in the sky for Bald Eagles usually looking out over 3-4 mile distances. With these its not a problem, one thing I noticed if your in too close ie. looking a block or two you may see some white ghosts on the outer fringes(bottom) what I noticed was as you scan further out this disappears, these things really are for looking LONG DISTANCES. When your scanning everything is very clear. I like the finish on the glasses like rubber which gives you a good grip on them. They are big so I do lean on my truck door etc. after a few minutes, trying to keep them up any longer would be a torture test. I did notice some reviews mention them being out of focus I didn't have this problem my guess would be as with any optics if they are hit, or bumped you could knock them out of focus, I'm usually very careful with optics. The bag was ok for me. All in all for the money you can't beat them, very satisfied.

For the price, this was such a good deal. It's only a 7x, but it really brings things into focus that otherwise could barely be seen. We live on a ranch and it has saved me a lot of miles in checking on animals. So much easier to carry than the 7x binoculars (which never got carried), it's about the same size as a 2oz hand samitizer bottle, and comes with a nice little pouch. My husband perfers a higher magnification, but I tend to have a little hand shake so this is just right.

Celestron - SkyMaster Giant 15x70 Binoculars are perfect for me because I am able to learn about the different controls as well as viewing stars and such before I go forward and invest in a higher powered and more professional scope.

Cool Looking and Durable but Lacking in Magnificat
Our 4 year old daughter was very excited to receive these binolulars. They are very colorful and she was happy to have binoculars that she could call her own. My wife and I like them because they are vey durable, easy to hold, and don't show many fingerprints. While our daughter loves them - the GeoSafari *Kidoculars* are definitely in the category of toy because they offer minimal magnification.Notes- The biggest drawback is that they only offer 2X magnification. While it may be self-explanatory, 2X means that things look twice as close as they really are. Ideally, I wish they were at least 3X for looking at birds and such.- Very colorful- Comfortable when viewing- The binoculars are rubberized making them very durable, and easy to hold.Final Verdict - A fun toy, but they do lack on magnification - 2X is enough to make things look closer, but not enough to be considered anything other than a toy.3 1/2 Stars
