The tripod is made primarily of aluminum, giving it a robust feel. The materials used and the finish look good; even at its maximum height, it feels very stable, ready to support the 8 kg weight limit claimed by the manufacturer. I tested it with a DSLR and its 75-300mm lens, and the tripod didn't budge.
The system for adjusting it to different heights is simple and sturdy. The camera mounting plate is quick-release and operates very smoothly. Assembly is straightforward, and some spare screws are included in the box. It also comes with a good-quality carrying bag.
