Strong, lightweight, well-designed stand with quality accessories
How compact a light stand collapses is as important to me these days as how high it extends. Rising 21 inches to 8 1/2 feet, this K&F stand has me covered on both ends. Tipping the scale at just 2.4 pounds, it earns first-class status in my gear bag. It has all the bells, e.g. quick flip locks with just the right amount of grip, and a solid foundation thanks to individually adjustable legs with a widest, fully extended locking position diameter of about 31 inches. And it has plenty of whistles, too—a sandbag hook for stability; enhanced-contact leg tips; a well-designed smartphone holder; and, co-winners of my Most Valuable Feature Award, a quality ball head adapter and (bless you) a 1/4-inch to 3/8-inch threaded adapter to conveniently allow use of the stand with a large variety of devices. Included is an L-shaped hex wrench, customer support information, a user’s manual and a fabric carrying bag with a shoulder strap and draw string closure with a spring-loaded clasp.
