Small, practical, good — for amateur use!
The brand K&F Concept should be known to most people by now. In my experience, you can often find good value for money with this manufacturer — I would even say: “Get a bargain” — but occasionally there are also products that make your hair stand up. Fortunately, the camera flash tested here is not one of the latter ;-) But now I have to say right away to better classify my review that I am not a real expert when it comes to photo flashes. Although I work as a videographer on a part-time basis and am therefore quite technically literate on the subject, as the job title suggests, I work more in the “video” sector and use professional photography only privately or for simple assignments that I can easily fulfill with my photography skills. Flash photography, however, is not one of them. Therefore, my requirements for such a mini flash are probably much lower than from someone who has already worked with various camera flashes or even does so on a daily basis. For my part, I find the handling of the camera flash tested here almost perfect! It is very small and handy, weighs only a little and also works easily with my Fuji X-H2 via the hot shoe connection (without an additional cable). It is battery-operated, comes with a diffuser attachment and I also really like the small cloth bag included for storage. For a price of just under €51.00, in my opinion, you can't complain about that. With only 8 performance levels, the range of functions is certainly rather sparse, but it is quite sufficient for the amateur sector and my personal requirements. I got along very well with the flash right away and in this case even found it quite practical that you don't get hit with various settings here. Everything is very simple and easy to understand. This makes the camera flash very intuitive to use. But that also means that it seems to be more suitable for amateur use and simple assignments. For the professional sector, there are of course too many restrictions here. But in my opinion, it's not meant for that either. In the end, we are talking about a “mini” camera flash and not a high-end device with a huge range of functions. Everyone has to decide for themselves whether this is worth the current price of just under €51.00. Because, in my opinion, you don't get a “bargain” (as mentioned at the beginning) here. But I'm definitely very satisfied with this mini camera flash so I'm happy to give it a good 4 stars! Thank you for reading
