I snapped this onto my camera the first time I switched between handheld and tripod, and it saved me a lot of fumbling. After using it over a few shoots, the magnetic connection has stayed secure and hasn’t loosened. Swapping setups is quick and doesn’t break my flow.I was surprised by how solid it feels once attached. You do need to line it up correctly for the magnet to seat fully. This is great if you’re changing mounts often, not if your setup never moves.
