Not a Replacement, an Upgrade.
I’ve become a fan of K&F; they have proven themselves to be a serious player in the photographic and videographic markets with professional quality accessories across a broad spectrum of the marketplace.
The K&F Concept NP-FW50 battery is a professional quality replacement for Sony’s OEM NP-FW50 battery. And it is an awesome replacement!
The Sony cameras that use the NP-FW50 battery, including the A7rII that I own, are infamous for their voracious use of battery energy. And although these K&F Concept replacement NP-FW50, rated at 1100 mAH while the Sony OEMs are rated at 1020, only have about 8% more capacity, they have a shorter charging time, a number of convenient charging options, and a longer life between charges. With its USB-C charging input, it can be charged almost anywhere and with almost any charger in use for today’s current devices that has a USB output; that includes the original Sony plugin wall charger, car chargers, power banks, your phones charger, etc. And the cost of the K&F Concept 2-pack of NP-FW50 batteries is about a third less than a single Sony OEM battery.
Included with the batteries is a USB-A to USB-C charging cable for each, with a convenient cable wrap, a nice touch. There is a charging status light on each battery that is red while charging and turns green when the battery is fully charged. In one of the batteries that I received, rather than turning green when it is fully charged, the light just goes out. Not a big deal to me since the battery showed as fully charged in the camera.
Rather than a replacement battery for the Sony OEM NP-FW50, the K&F Concept Batteries are an upgrade.
