I bought the refurbished version for around $239. Excellent condition, would have through it was brand new!Picture: I could have sworn I was looking at HD. I guess its 720 or 480p or something. Enlarged to 100 inches, I could see pretty much everything clearly. If you have to have 1080- upgrade but spend $300 more. Very pleased for $250.Sound - meh. It will work but only a little louder than an iphone, hardly any bass. It will satisfy you if you don't have another bluetooth speaker for sound in general, but I would recommend pairing with something else with more bass.Apps/Streaming: Conflicted. You can sign into netflix and connect it to your phone's hotspot, but if you bought this to stream and airplay stuff from you phone, anything copyright protected wont work. Even if you buy an hdmi to lightning adapter. Luckily I have an AppleTV so I just plugged it in and streamed anything on there with the only downside being more cords and sources. Again - You will not be able to Wifi mirrorcast airplay netflix, HBO, disney etc from your phone. So I can use it as I need it, but just a little disappointed I cant just sling anything from my phone for a true portable solution. . However, plugging in an appleTV takes 1 outlet and an hdmi cord and 2 minutes. Bluetooth speaker optional. You can with the built in app for netflix, but its clunky.App for remote - really nice.After buying, I am very happy with the picture quality and will take this on trips or have outside movie night. I didn't want to spend $500+ so this was a great solution. Again -I thought it was 1080p until I read up on it.
