Can the picture be blurred at the edges due to incorrect settings? have new gopro + the filter and the whole thing looks muddy.

Hello! I use a polarizing filter on a Hero 9 black. So far I haven't noticed any blurring because of the filter. You can rest assured that a proper filter will not cause any noticeable deterioration in the images. It doesn't matter whether it's a GOPRO, a normal digital or analog camera. The filter may change something, eg block UV light, but the sharpness remains 99.9 percent!

So if you have a lot of movement in the picture, for example with a helmet camera, then that's what you want. The background blurs at the edge of the picture. That's what the filter is made for.
