I purchased two of these so I could play around with some creative lighting for both work and personal projects. I've wanted to get into using LEDs rather than gels (with strobes or hot lights) but wasn't ready to commit to a big purchase during this unpleasant pandemic time where my work opportunities are much less robust.These little lights actually turned out to be really great! First off they re-charge so that's already a huge benefit over more devices requiring batteries. While I don't know how they'll do long term (as you can't open and replace the rechargeable battery it uses), they weren't really expensive so I'd say they'll probably survive long enough to make the purchase a good value. They can also be used while charging in a pinch.They are extremely light and can easily be mounted to anything that accepts a standard 1/4" screw mount or cold shoe mount (clamps can be found for cheap thanks to everyone using go-pro mounted on various things). The settings are easy to change, and you can adjust both the color value (in the white range or in the RGB range) and brightness, and the screen on the back makes it easy to confirm settings are what you wanted to use.I included two images taken with my iPhone as a test when I first received and charged them up. Both photos are the same toy, which is solid black with gold flames. The lights are positioned back left/front right, and the color version has a blue/fuchsia contrast going while the original shot is just a cool white light.
