Great value 4 back radios
Setting up an Emergency street coordinators in my senior mobile home park, have tested the radios distance and clarity, ruggedness and battery life. 1st - At a distance of 1 mile all radios have excellent clarity and clear voice, noise starts to get back ground hush at 2 miles but voice is readable. 2nd I have dropped all radios from 4 feet several times and all work as planned. 3rd battery life on receive was 4 days but could of been longer before I decided to charge, when constant usage was about 24 hours before I decided to charge.ONE THING YOU SHOULD KNOW !! The radios came with two out of the 16 legal FRS (Family Radio Service) frequencies but that is not a problem. Here at Amazon you can get "Compatible USB Programming Cable for Baofeng Two way Radio BF-888S + With Driver CD ". Then look up FRS frequencies on the internet and you can program the radio for all channel legal use.I have had many Baofeng hand held radios as a Ham operator and these work far more than expected.
