We purchased this for two purposes: 1) capture wildlife in our backyard, because we have a creek, there is a regular parade of creatures big and small passing by us. and 2) time lapse for my wife's garden for a couple of plants that have a big bloom on them. When UPS arrived yesterday it felt like Christmas when I opened this package!When I took the Hunting Cam out of the box I was shocked at how small it is - about the overall size of an iPhone Max but obvious much thicker - not sure why I was expecting something the size of a toaster, but this little powerhouse of features was the gift that keeps on giving. Took me about an hour to set up, because I like to really go over every feature and set it up optimally, test it and learn about it. One of the best features is the WiFi - not regular WiFi like your home WiFi, this is more like a bluetooth feature that you can turn on and off with a wrist band module, similar to a watch (to minimize battery consumption) - you can wear it like a watch and then turn on the Wifi to transfer videos and photos to the smart app (use QR code to download, not on App Store) - App is not as intuitive as I would prefer but with a little effort you can figure it out fairly quickly. Another neat feature is that the settings you might set up directly on the LCD screen (yes, I said LCD screen - this Hunting Camera is just amazing with all the features!) The App's labels for each of the Menu items is not displaying the actual names of each setting but merely an arrow that you have to click on to see what it does - easy enough but an improvement would be to label these so they show up on the app and not have to guess where the date setting or megapixel size setting is on the list. Maybe just a bug and next upgrade might correct but no matter, it's easy enough to work around.I love the mounting options - we mounted ours on a birdhouse post, up high enough that a passerby would not even likely see it and definitely cannot remove it, if you use the screwed in base. Some real thought went into the design to make it thief resistant. You'd need a couple of tools to take it down. The other mounting system is a tree strap which is great for mounting out in the woods (again, suggest up high, as this is not thief resistant) - nice feature is the cleats on the back that dig into the tree bark to insure no slippage. If you mount up high remember to angle downwards.So much effort was put into the design and features - for $75 this cannot be beat! Excellent manual with good translations in perfect English. Very pleased with this purchase.
