Best Starter Microphone Kit I've Encountered So Far
This mic comes with a solid stand that works well, and is plug and play via USB, and the pop filter just screws onto the stand, so it's easy to get everything going, but I experienced a few difficulties in actually using the mic.Mic build, mic mount, mic stand, pop filter quality, USB cord length - 5/5Built-in 3.5mm jack for audio monitoring of the mic - 5/5Quality of the mic 5/5The sensitivity of the mic 4/5Price of the mic kit - 5/5Overall 4.5/5I wish Amazon would let me give this a 4 and a half star rating because I am not even sure if this is the mic's fault or my own, but I have the mic levels set to 100% in Windows' Sound Settings, and the mic is not extraordinarily far away from me - it is just above my monitor, so if it were any closer it would be blocking my view of the computer, which is kind of be counterintuitive for a USB enabled mic. I am not sure if this is just because this isn't phantom powered, or if I am just missing something. At any rate, it's quieter than my much less expensive table-top mic, and there is no physical volume/sensitivity adjustment to compensate for this. Maybe it is better when being used for higher applications like recording music, but it seems clear that this is also being targeted to normal PC users (podcasters, gamers, YouTubers), so a little more variability there would be nice.Everything else has been great, and I've had no technical problems of any sort while using it thus far.
