This is a fairly decent webcam that for the most part works as expected. I recently come across some webcams under $50-$60 that are somewhat comparable to this one overall including video quality (though one of 'em is worse than this). No, this is NOT an amazing webcam, far from it; however, it is exactly what I expected it to be based webcams in this price range and there aren't any surprises (except 1, which is that it defaults to a much lower quality of 1440x1080 for some reasons) for the most part.≡ InstallationInstallation is a snap; it's completely plug'n'play without any issues at all (and that's what it's supposed to be in 2022). A new device named 'AIRHUG 02' appears under 'Imaging devices' and it's ready to be used immediately.≡ VideoThe video quality is fairly decent knowing this is likely NOT a real 2K or at least it's nowhere near a TRUE 1080p that you see from TV or other quality sources. It's not too bad given the circumstances although the colors are a bit of a washout (red has pinkish hue along with other saturation issues) just like most other webcams out there. Though, these issues can probably be corrected in most programs/apps out there.This one has a conserved FoV (Field of View) of 78° and I'm actually not a big fan of the wide angle (and this one is NOT) unless it's for a conference room where it needs to cover a large group of people; otherwise, the only thing wide angle camera does is to make people 'smaller' because it's covering a larger area. Also keep in mind that the wider the angle, the more prominent fishbowl effect is although it's less on people since we got a 'curved' face/body.≡ MicrophoneThis one webcam does NOT have a mic which is good because nearly ALL of 'em turn out to be crappy anyway.All things considered, this is a decent webcam in terms of video quality as well as physical build in comparison to most other webcams out there at this price range, and it is reasonably priced at $30 for what it provides (most importantly the video quality). It's generally difficult to beat the video quality given the fact that this costs $30. There are other webcams out there that easily cost 1.5-2x times this with similar or even slightly worse video quality so this is a clear winner in that regard. Though, let me repeat it again, the video quality is far from superb but it is decent considering the price.

For people wanting to know the mounting screw size, it is 1/4 inch, 20 thread count. I just bought some from Home Depot and can confirm it's the right size.It's also the standard size for DSLR, Webcams, and other video equipments. Looking for a low cost solution for video conference using Google Hangout. Tried high end webcams with built in mics but these are only good for the presenters and does not work when participants join in the discussion. This USB mic works like a charm but participants still need to speak up to be picked up.

When the pandemic started I did a bunch of research about webcams. Most recent reviews and YouTube videos made it sound like this little camera was no good anymore and suggested I buy something more expensive. Well, I did. Then I bought this camera for my dad and when I installed it for him I realized it worked great. If all you need is a camera for videoconferencing this is more than good enough.

Better sound quality will be transmitted to the people in your meeting. Much better than the sound transmitted via the mics in most webcams. Try and keep the mic within 10 - 20 inches of your mouth for best results. Very convenient to pass the mic to other meeting participants at your location ....rather than have them lean over your shoulder to talk into a camera mic. Also, you need to know this company, CMTECH, has superior tech support. My original CMTECH mic did not work properly; they immediately sent me a new product that worked perfectly upon arrival. No questions asked and very speedy no-charge replacement from CMTECH. And, yes, there are mics that cost up to 10 times more if you really want studio quality and you host meetings for a living.

Plug and play on my macbook. I got an emf meter and am no longer using headphones. Not when I saw the amount of radiation in my ear. It noise cancels other sounds in the room every big as well as the noise canceling headsets I have been using. Cable a bit short but...detaches so it can be replaced without buying a new mic which is bain of all webcams.

One of the best webcams on the market. I mainly use it for MS teams while working and the occasional zoom.Quality is great, make sure you have decent lighting it will look even better. For a web cam the mic is pretty good. I do however have an external mic that I do use from a previous setup. Have no need for 4k so can't comment on that but at 1080p 60p and 30p excellent picture.

I have had this since 2018 and here it is 2022 and I use it for my Telehealth visits the picture quality is perfect and I have also used this for a couple of live streams and it did not disappoint me one bit it does what it's supposed to do and I would recommend this to anyone who does Zoom or Skype calls and some live streaming, sure there are better webcams for live streaming but if you're on a budget this one will suit your needs in a pinch.
