This is a great little camera for some general monitoring of the home. I have mine mounted on the wall, in the upper corner so it can see the two main areas someone could enter my house.It surprised for its size how wide of an image it shows. I can see my entire dining room just by it being in the corner and the picture/live video is very clear!!The motion detection is awesome too! It has a few settings you can adjust for motion detection so check those out. It can be scheduled to automatically turn on and off the motion detection. I have it schedule so right after I leave the house for work it turns on and right before I get home it turns off so that way it's not giving motion alerts of myself going to the kitchen. When it detects motion you get a notification to your phone right away and in the app you can see the picture it captured when it detected the motion and it detects it almost immediately!The night vision works pretty good too just make sure you don't have it pointed to close to a nearby wall or ceiling (see my picture) as the night vision will just catch a white reflection from that surface and the rest of the room remains dark.Overall though, a GREAT little camera for not much money. I have no complaints. If you need to monitor some rooms in your house, check out this camera! I've bought 3 of them now!
