There are many different ways to do a basic mic se
History:Prior to using this microphone my only history with Microphones was the dynamic SM57 and SM58 as well as the Blue Yeti. My review will be based around my experience with these microphones.Actual Cost of Mic:Purchased refurbished on amazon for $79.99 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016YKWKL6/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1Connecting via Scarlett Solo from Amazon for $99.99https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MTXU2DG/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1Arm: Newer Microphone Suspension Boom Sissor Arm Stand for $12.50https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DY1F2CS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1Dragon Pad Pop Filter for $5.41https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008AOH1O6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1Legoal Anti Vibration Suspension Microphone Shock Mount Holder Clip for $8.65(No Longer on Amazon- Here is alternative Link. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00G35U9Z2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)10’ XLR can be found at any music store or online for $10.00 or lesshttps://www.amazon.com/Kirlin-Cable-MPC-270-10-BK-Microphone/dp/B00JOTSNMA/ref=sr_1_2?s=musical-instruments&ie=UTF8&qid=1466388111&sr=1-2&keywords=xlr+10%27Total Cost: 216.54Setup:There are many different ways to do a basic mic setup like this so look around and see what will work best for you. This is an XLR Microphone, so you will need an interface that has a 48- volt phantom power to use the mic and connect it to the computer.I chose the Scarlett Solo due to its simplicity and because of how easy it is to pack up and use anywhere else.I chose the Newwer Suspension Boom because it is cheaper and gets the job done. However if you have more money to spend the Rode PSA 1 is a popular choice for being longer and sturdier. However for my setup the Newwer Arm is fine.I use the dragon pad pop filter for most recording scenarios as it is cheap and hugely efficient at preventing “plosives”, however there are many options for this, if you are looking for a smaller footprint for streaming, foam heads and metal mesh pop filters also work. Finally, the mic comes with standard mount that threads nicely to the base, this works fine if you are just recording music from an instrument, however if you plan on streaming or recording audio while doing something then i would recommend getting a shockmount. This will prevent loud “Thuds” from typing or tapping your desk.Specifications and General Information:The AT2020 we are looking at today is an XLR microphone however if you need an all in one package this microphone also has a USB version for $150.This Microphone has a frequency response of 20hz-20,000khzThis Microphone requires 48v DC phantom Power. The AT2020 can handle up to 144dB SPL (for reference shouting from about a foot away will only get you to 88 dB SPL)The AT2020 Comes with a threaded mount and a soft protective bag.Uses:For the last five months i've been using this mic for everything from streaming, to regular vocal recordings for my gaming channel to even recording my wife on the piano, and everything sounds amazing. For Streaming: When using a noise filter, everything sounds great, however this is still a condenser mic and when my wife starts talking in the background or a fan is running, or a dog starts barking next door, it will pick it up. Condenser microphones are sensitive and will do that, however since i'm streaming and can’t edit it in post, it can cause an issue if you don't want you viewers to hear everything going on in your house. For Vocal Recordings: When recording to Audacity, i think this mic sounds great. Once i get the noise profile from either the beginning or end of the clip and remove all the excess noise, i think this mic sounds clean. However keep in mind this is just my personal opinion and you can decide for yourself if what you are hearing right now is something you would like. Also note, something I will do from time to time to counter any reflections if i'm going to be extra loud is hand a towel behind my monitor. If you are yelling often into your mic, you could even invest in some sound absorbing pads to hand from your wall. For Music Recording, If i'm using the microphone to record my wife on the piano i will often just place it right above the piano, although i will more often than not just record through the scaretts instrument in with a quarterinch cable. If i'm recording guitar or ukulele, i will often time just place the mic right in front of the cabinet, I will play some samples at the end of the video for you to hear. What I Like:One of the biggest pros for this microphone is the cost, at $85.00 new, this mic sounds great. For streaming, if you're in a quiet room, you can get this mic up and out of the way of your shot and it is still clear.Because its XLR, you have the versatility to connect to mixers easily to make live changes. The Cardioid pattern is great for rejecting all the noise behind the mic.The AT2020 has a clean black look and a sturdy feel. What I dislike:This mic is still a condenser mic and picks up a lot of noise from around the room.No shockmount included means you have to pay a bit more for a shockmount which is essential if you are going to be streaming. The cost to using this mic with nothing to start with is just north of $200.00Who would i recommend this for:I would recommend this mic for all vocal applications for the price, at $85.00 new on amazon this microphone is a clean sounding mic. It works very well for quiet rooms when streaming, especially with a noise gate and can be placed outside the shot of your webcam while still picking up your voice. When recording vocals this mic provides a good amount of range, so everything sounds very natural to my ear.

Plug and Play
The black wire 8225 was nicely packed, arrived on time, plugged it in and it worked instantaneously.PC recognized it immediately, no further adjustments were made, sound quality is quite good, dynamic range is quite good, accessories work fine, build quality is excellent, microphone is crisp based on input from people I am talking with online, you get what you pay for and this seems like good value for money

It's good
I'm no audiophile, but i have to say, this is a pretty nice mic!Pros:1.Its built like a TANK.2.Replaceable Metal windscreen3.Nice Mids and Highs4.Comes with a cable.Cons:1.Manual is a very poor Chinese to English translation2.It does not mention that the cable is a 1/4" To XLR CableAll and all, its a very nice mic. If you don't need the cable, go with the:

Great headset for the price.
This headset is used mainly for PC gaming and is a great entry level headset. It is comfortable to wear (even with glasses) for extended periods. The microphone is good quality and also fairly adjustable. The volume control buttons are functional but located in an awkward spot on the headset, I mostly just use the volume controls on my computer.Overall I recommend this headset if you’re not looking to break the bank but still want quality sound.

Perfect for gaming
Looked all over for a microphone to use for desktop gaming, and this one ended up fitting my needs perfectly at a pretty reasonable price. It's small and unobtrusive, yet maintains loud and clear sound quality from two feet away. No noticeable feedback or background noise either. Unless you're an audiophile, you really don't need anything better than this for online voice chat.

The box that it was sent in is excellent for stora
It was delivered promptly and well wrapped but not over wrapped. The box that it was sent in is excellent for storage. The setup was quick and easy. We have only had problems at church due to an unknown source that we are investigating but seems to be the same as our previous portable microphone. (The microphones don't work in certain specific areas like there is some interference but no transmission is received. In all the other areas they are excellent.) Only had them for a couple of months.

Worth every cent
The microphone has three modes and they all perform very well. This is quite a good mic for the size that it is - I actually had a chuckle at it upon opening it for the first time. The clip works as expected but I find that using it on its own with the clip as a stand does not. Otherwise, this is very much worth the money. Could see this being excellent in almost any situation - especially for when you need good ambience pickup.

Mostly paying for the brand, still pretty good qua
The sound on them is nice and clear, the noise cancelation is nice along with the microphone. I choose these mostly for the namebrand to go with my phone, but I've used other brands of buds for $100 and under that sound just as good if not a little better, especially on the volume aspect. So if you aren't looking for namebrand you can definitely save money and get a different brand and not have to worry about losing $200 buds.
