Comfortable, sound great, paired with Linux PulseAudio seamlessly
I purchased these after much deliberation. Primary use is to pair with my laptop (running Linux + PulseAudio + BlueZ stack). The headphones themselves are of reasonable quality from what I can tell. I've only had them for a couple days, and they seem durable enough, but I will update this review in the event that they suffer catastrophic failure of any kind. The ear pieces feel plasticy and light, I would say that the build quality is on-par with Beats Studios. The head band and ear pads feel like soft, thin real leather. It doesn't seem like they are easily replaceable, but if they're really real leather then hopefully replacement won't be necessary for a very long time.My head is a little bit smaller than average, I think I maybe wear a 6 and 7/8 in fitted baseball caps or something like that... so these feel a little loose on my head, but not like they're going to fall off of my head. It's actually nice that they're not squeezing down on my ears. The headband feels much more comfortable after longer periods of time than my MonoPrice cans.Pairing to my Linux laptop was relatively painless, just had to press and hold the center button to turn the headphones on, and continue to hold the button until pairing mode was achieved. I was able to then select A2DP as the audio profile for the sound device, and the PulseAudio sound system picked it up as a sink to route media through.Sound quality was reasonable at first, nothing mind blowing... felt a little muddy in the mids, but decent bass and treble. Then I realized I hadn't turned on 3D sound mode (by pressing and holding the > button), which helped enormously. Mids really shined, bass and treble felt better balanced. Very nice sounding headphones. NOTE: I'm not a major audiophile, so take this assessment with a grain of salt if you have super sensitive hearing.A couple major selling points that I really like:a) charging cable (provided) is micro-USB, which I have a million of floating around every room in my house. Yay standards.b) audio jack input works even if battery is dead or headphones are powered off, meaning you still have headphones if you have a flat battery. rather than a fancy paperweight.Overall, these are absolutely worth the $150 price tag that I purchased them at. I'm not super crazy about my audio equipment so I wouldn't pay more than that, but they're a solid purchase and I'm very pleased. I hope that this review is helpful for anyone else who is on the fence about them.
