The packaging and the build of the microphone felt good. I was looking forward to using it but it disappointed a little. Performance wise it's okay but it offers no improvement on the built-in microphone on my Canon EOS 700D. Maybe that says more about the quality of the cameras built-in mic.It may well be beneficial if you have a lens that makes a noise when the focus changes where the internal mic would pick it up but I have a very quite lens so that isn't an issue. Anyway I returned it.

Product as stated. I would recommend that you also purchase the padded carry bag.

Drowns out motel noise
We keep this in our travel bag. Have an identical one at home. Love them!
