Well made and does the job well
Well made, a great fit and allows use of all Nikon lenses, including g lenses without an aperture ring. Aperture control is via an aperture ring on the adapter which has a soft click. This moves the lever on your g lens to adjust the aperture but aperture control is approximate and in steps rather than definite numbered stops. This is not really an issue though as your Fuji X camera will meter perfectly and the continuous dof preview will help with composition. With non g lenses you just use the aperture ring on the lens.

Perfect for almost everything
I've always been told that photography is all about the skill instead of the gear, but the quality of my photos has dramatically improved since getting this lens. Before buying, keep in mind that this lens is an RF lens and currently only works with the EOS R, EOS RP, EOS R5, and EOS R6. There is also no adapter to use this on EF cameras. This review is of me shooting on an EOS RP.Overall, I can say without a doubt that this is the best lens I have ever owned.I primarily do portrait photography, but I started to get into macro photography because of this lens. The minimum focusing distance lets you get super close to what you are shooting. The high aperture does a really good job of making the photo feel like you are really up close and also allows you to shoot at much higher shutter speeds to get really sharp details of moving insect wings without sacrificing light quality. The lens is also extremely small and compact. It is perfect for toting around all day if you are at a zoo or gardens. This lens has Canon's new control ring on it that allows you to control certain settings assigned by going into your camera's menu. The only downside for this lens is that, even though I have owned it for weeks and have shot over 2000 photos with it, if you were to hand it to me right now, I couldn't tell you which was the control ring and which was the focusing ring. I've had to disable the control ring because I keep accidentally changing the setting assigned to it.That being said, the auto focus is extraordinary on this lens. It is incredible how fast it can go from being focused for photographing a group of people 20 feet away to focusing in on a beetle less than an inch long half a foot away.Overall, if you own an RF camera, I believe you should have one of these on hand just because of the versatility. All of the photos attached have been shot with this lens. You can see how sharp the lens is from there.

Camera and delievery both are quick
Small camera but not light weight, easy to use, touch screen is just like mobile. Kit lens is not good for indoor photography at all. My one plus 7 perform better. After spent 10-15 days you will feel very comfortable on all aspects of camera. I use aperture priority setting which is quite good for me. I bought this in 43k after discount in August sale.

Sharp, small, light
I have read many reviews saying this lens is too soft. It is not true. I might have just gotten a good copy but I find this lens to be very sharp. Of course it is not as sharp as the 70-200 lenses but it comes very close. It also costs half as much. I really had second thoughts buying this lens because of all the mediocre reviews but I am very happy with the results from this lens. The f/4 aperture is slow but if you are doing landscapes or architecture this is not important. It is also very compact and light. I was surprised at how small it was when I first got it. The focus and zoom rings are super smooth and feel great. The build quality is amazing. The zoom design is genius. When you have a filter on (which is a MUST), the glass zooms in and out inside of the filter so the lens does not change size. I am using a full frame and it's great but if you have a crop camera I would suggest a different lens. For a crop camera it is not long enough on the long end and you can get a better general zoom with a f/2.8 aperture. I would recommend the Tamron 17-50mm 2.8 for crop cameras. I had it on my 40D and I loved it. I highly recommend this lens as a ultra wide angle for full frame cameras. It is sharp, compact, light, and built like a tank. Even as a pixel peeper, I am satisfied with this lens.

Great lens!
A wicked lens. Produces a beautiful bokeh affect with the aperture wide open. Very sturdy build and great autofocus. Little cheaper than what I would spend locally at the big box stores too!

Nice lens. But the ring plastic and it broke, they replaced it and it broke again.

overall it is a great lens
I watched numerous videos about that lens on YouTube, and read a few reviews on amazon.ca before buying it. Almost everything they said and wrote was right. I was convinced, so i bought it. So far I've taken many photos with it and most of them are perfectly charp with a soft bokeh with an aperture of f 1.8. The focusing ring is very smooth (when using manual focus). However, it is not completely silent on auto focus mode, but it is a fantastic lens and I really love it.

Amazing Pet Portraits
I most often use this lens for pet portraits as part of my in-home dog sitting business and it's seriously amazing. I love the depth of field that comes with the wide aperture. I'd only ever owned a lens that went down to f/3.5 and I used to think that was wide...This is seriously an amazing lens for the price. You can't beat ~$150.

Great indoors too
Most reviews are about using it outdoors which I agree that it does a great job. It is also a good lens for indoors and close-up photos. The aperture is not great but blurry backgrounds can be attained in the camera settings. The wide-angle is wider than what I was expecting when compared it to a few Canon wide-angle lens that I own. These are not M series lenses but I'm not comparing it on an M series camera. I have no complaints. If you only want three M lenses, I recommend this be one of them.
