Lots of options on this one!
I've got an excessive number of tripods. I own a science education business with mostly asynchronous (recorded) classes. So I'll be comparing this to the range I've got already.
For starters, this is a mid-weight tripod. Easy to carry but not flimsy. I wouldn't try to put a teleprompter on it but it's great for even a larger camera.
What makes this a real stand out for me are all the options/features. It can be quite tall (with less stability of course) or pretty stable at a normal height. But then it also has a hook for a weight, which a lot of tripods in this price range don't provide. That makes a big difference with issues like vibration and of course dramatically increases the stability.
My favorite part is the mount/head combo. It comes with two plates to attach to the tripod. The locking knob is very secure and once my camera is mounted, I can use the ball head to get any angle I want. But the ball head is mounted on a a swivel with degree markings. Tightening the thumb screw shifts it a bit so you have to account for that if you're using a lot of zoom. For my use, it's irrelevant. The plate can also slide side to side for adjustment with another screw to hold it in place. There are two built in levels.
The rubber feet are ball mount so they rest flat no matter how extended the legs are or aren't.
It comes with a phone mount with a tablet mount on the reverse, which is a cool feature.
I've switched out another tripod to use this one instead and my production assistant is finding it much easier to adjust.
