Worked well on my modular (flip-open) style helmet after installing it upside-down
I have a modular (flip-open) style helmet and the button to raise the chin piece is at the bottom front center, which is covered by this action cam mount in the normal installation position. I simply flipped the mount upside-down and it provided good access to the release button. However, the mount bracket is then upside down, which doesn't allow the camera to tilt back enough to aim forward. I had to add an extension from my bag of GoPro hardware to make it work, but being farther away from the helmet allows me to see the screen better on the rear of the camera. See the attached pics with the helmet open and closed. Also, the strap buckles tighten up really well too.
