The 11 inch Magic Arm from K&F Concept in combination with the included Super Clamp has been used a few times now and I am overall satisfied with the performance and workmanship of this accessory. The first thing I noticed positively was the high-quality workmanship. The Magic Arm is made of sturdy aluminum alloy and makes a very sturdy impression. All joints can be precisely adjusted and maintain their position reliably, even when loaded by heavier monitors or LED lights of up to around 2 kilograms — a figure that, in my experience, is realistic. The central fixing screw works efficiently: With just one turn, all axes can be fixed or released at the same time, which saves enormous time when setting up quickly and when changing positions. Even after frequent use, there are no signs of wear or loss of clamping force. The included Super Clamp is a real plus. It can be flexibly attached to pipes, table edges or stands and holds securely there without slipping. The rubber inserts also ensure a firm fit without damaging sensitive surfaces. In combination with the Magic Arm, the result is a sturdy and versatile mounting solution that is ideal for monitors, small lights or action cams. In practical use, I used the arm on a camera cage, among other things, to mount a field monitor on the side. Even with changing perspectives and slight shocks while recording, everything remained stable. The arm can also be used very well for an LED light above the desk — the large adjustment range of the joints is particularly effective here. A small note: Because of its length, the arm is more suitable for setups with a little more space; for very compact rigs or heavily moving scenarios, a shorter arm might make more sense. But if you are consciously looking for flexibility and reach, this model is a good choice. Conclusion: The K&F Concept Magic Arm with Super Clamp impresses with its sophisticated design, high stability and versatile uses. For anyone who regularly works with camera equipment and is looking for a reliable, variable mount, this set is a very solid option.
