As a lens protector
don't believe in UV filters too much on digital cameras but as a lens protector, they have value. This kit comes with a spare lens cap which is a really nice, handy bonus. Also there is a lanyard type cable for a reason I have yet to figure out. The obligatory lens cloth is also vacuum packed for some reason. Optically, the filter is fine. I observed no noticable colour cast, fringing or vignetting with the lens, which is all I asked and the price is reasonable for the quality, so from my perspective, all is good. Recommendable.
