Shimmer for a Cinematic Look
I shoot many daytime events and have found it advantageous to add a 1/2 black diffusion filter to the mix. The K&F diffusion filter has a very similar effect. In bright sun, it softens complexion, reduces contrast, and can add a satisfying glow to backlit hair. And most importantly, it makes my photographs stand out from stark, contrasty mobile phone photos. The shimmer filter gives the photograph a subtle cinematic look. It has a slightly more pronounced look than the black diffusion filter.
As with all Neewer filters, the ring is well-constructed and easily screws on my well-worn lenses. There is a large knurling on the rim for a good grip.
