Value for money for beginners who are setting up their own home recording studio.Great sound quality and frequency response on this budget. Challenges more expensive mics like rode nt1a.Build quality is solid all metal and looks very durable

Such great value!
I can't believe how good this sounds for the cost. I'm not going to say it sounds like an AM7B or other professional studio mic but for a miniscule amount of money it punches far above its price.Before I bought this I was doing podcasts and voiceovers on a Rode NT1A which has beautiful sound but picks up every mouth noise and room sound going on. Then I tried a Rode Podcaster at $300 and was disappointed. The sound quality was not worth the cost, in my opinion. I sold that and gave this XM8500 a try because of all the hype on Youtube. And I'm glad I did because with a little bit of EQing it sounds as good as the Rode Podcaster at literally one tenth of the price.It's a rare thing because of the value and it makes me think that other mic manufacturers are charging way too much for their mics. I suspect that more money goes into making the thick metal casings on those higher end mics, to create that "wow, this is so heavy, it must be good!" effect, than the actual mic capsule itself.

Ist super!
Mus ich schon sagen sauber für solche Dynamische Mikrofone. Habe auch den Rode Condensatormikrofon NT1-A.Höre auch die Unterschiede. Also für diese Preisklasse nur zu empfehlen.

Wirklich gut
Habe das Yeti für 100 Euro gekauft. Vorher mit mit einem Rode NT-USB gearbeitet. Bin voll und ganz überzeugt.- kein Rauschen- Sprache gut- Lautstärkeregler ist wackeligAlso: einfach gut

Love RODE
I love supporting RODE, they have amazing customer service and really well built mics with good warranty options.Had the NT1A which would be much better value as a streamer because it comes with an XLR cable, shock mount, 10 year warranty and the mic itself has wonderful build quality. This would be overkill for most people though.This PODmic is very very heavy, the build quality is just as good but be prepared to buy the accessories you need. I use it mostly for discord/gaming and I think its the best value you can get at this price point.
