Superior image and build quality.
I bought this for my son to connect to the desktop he uses for remote learning. After buying a cheaper webcam that lasted barely a week (loose connection on the cable), I spent a bit more for this camera. The difference in build quality was noticeable immediately. Moreover, the image quality difference was much more dramatic than I would have guessed, with much better dynamic range, skin tone accuracy, and low light performance. The integrated ring light is nice, and would work if you had no other lights on, but it is not necessary with reasonable ambient lighting. The sound quality is reported to be good from the other side. So far, five stars.
