The minimum interpupillary distance for the TrailSeeker ED 8x42 binocular is: 56mm (2.20")

I own the 8X42 and they are very good for bird/wildlife watching. The 8X42 ED- Extra Low Dispersion model may be a higher quality lenses system, but I have been very happy with the pair that I have. Very clear and sharp images.

Never been on a safari but these binoc’s have been great under all kinds of conditions.

The BaK-4 Prisms have Phase and Dielectric Coatings for increased light transmission through the prism system for brighter images, increased contrast and resolution.

Yes there is a mount . You need to pop out the celestron logo on the focus dial. This would reveal ghe threaded screw adptor

I'm not familiar with the nature dx but the trailseekers are incredible. I had mine out a few days ago and could see detail at 10x that we couldn't see with 16x Nikons. Everyone knows Nikon is good glass. Celestron is better.

Yes, they are great for bird watching. I have used them in the Andes in Peru, in marshes (lots of reflection), and more recently in the woods and they always deliver crisp and colorful views.
A
Yes, I think so. I've worn my glasses when using these binoculars.

They can accomodate a narrow eye bridge but my pair is very stiff when adjusting for different eye separations.

I would say...a qualified "yes." You are going to have a nice wide field-of-view and sharp focus. The 40mm objectives are not going to allow a huge amount of light gathering but you will have portability and that counts for a lot - a light, sharp and accurate optic is more useful than a large and bulky choice. Even if that means giving up some "reach."
