I can only face my antenna north, but most of my tv towers are south. Will this affect the signal?

Everything affects the signal. I can mount mine over a window and get one set of channels. Then move it 12” and get twenty additional channels. It’s a good antenna. I encourage you to get it and try it in several positions. I will add the double sided tape they send won’t hold the antenna for more than a couple of days. You’ll need something else.

I don't know, but I just hung mine on the wall. Didn't check for direction and it works great. (Across the room from any windows)
