This is a *really* interesting light. It looks like it came out of 'Baby's First Content Creation Kit' with the chunky yellow knobs and whimsical typefaces. But don't let the looks fool you--this is a killer camera light with a ton of functionality. It does many of the same things as my much larger lights but it's tiny and easy to carry.

The controls couldn't be easier to use. Two knobs and one button control everything. It charged up quickly and after about an hour of testing shows no signs of running out of power. The product description claims a battery life of 10 hours and I've seen nothing to make me doubt that.

There's a USB-C charging slot in back and it can be used with the cable while it's charging. Adjustable color temp (2500K to 9900K), Hue adjustable from 0 degree - 360 degree. Brightness from 0% - 100% dimmable. The chunky knobs are easy to turn and it's equally as easy to get a precise setting. There are 21 pre-programmed effects and it's just as easy to access these as it is to use the other functions. The back of the unit is magnetized which further enhances its functionality. Also compatible with cold shoe mounts and 1/2" screw holes.

I had very low expectations of this light. I thought it was going to be a gimmicky toy. Instead, it is one of the best lights I own. Amazing functionality in a small package.

Although it is not the most powerful light on the market. I'm lovin 'it. Its design is great, the knobs and its screen make it extremely easy for you to operate it. Without those applications that in the end if you have many lights they confuse you more. In this device the knobs are made like for a preschool child, and it also contains all the shades of colors, graduations of intensity and tonality of light. In addition to all the effects you need for your study. I could say that colored lights work much better than white light. However it is perfect as a fill light. It has a magnet on the back to stick it to metal surfaces but the truth is that it is quite weak. It does not work well. You better not use it. For the rest, this light seems great to me and I would compare another without hesitation because of how easy it is to handle.

The TOFU portable LED is an extremely convenient light that packs a lot into a small design. To get the tech specs out of the way - it has an extremely high CRI, offers 100 steps of brightness control, and 360 steps of hue control - already very impressive for a small light like this.

With any light, getting into the right position is key. What makes this light so convenient is that although it does have a 1/4" screw hole for tripod mounting, the small form factor makes it very easy to hold. That means that you can have your phone in one hand snapping pictures, and the light in your other hand - making instant adjustments in position and angle. The light is thick enough to get a good grip on, yet small enough to fit in the palm of your hand. The surface is smooth with a very slight texture that's comfortable to hold onto.

Perhaps most importantly, the light is controlled mostly through 2 "chunky style" dials on the side. You can instantly flip between the two primary modes (white light with adjustable white balance, or color light with adjustable hue). This is a huge benefit over other lights that just buttons for everything - requiring constant clicking through menus, clicking through settings, etc. With the dials, adjustments are quick and intuitive.

As an aside, the light is also kind of fun. It has a fun color scheme, fun branding, and a translucent back panel that gives it a sort of toy-like look. It happily also charges via USB C, and includes a small charging cable (As well as a shoe mount adapter).

One minor note - be aware that it does not come with the laptop screen mount shown in one of the product pictures, just in case that isn't clear. Overall, this light offers far too much value to rate anything but a 5/5!

Not sure why I wasn’t expecting much from this light, but it has completely exceeded my expectations. I thought I would just use it in a vase or basket to add some background interest but it’s so good, I find my self using it for a number of things like lighting up a complete background.

It’s small, but very bright. The colors on HST and color temps on CCT are very good. The controls are nice, large knobs. You switch between modes with a knob. No press and hold buttons…just easy access knobs.

It comes with a nice diffusion cover, stand, and cold shoe mount. It has two 1/2 20 mounts and a magnetic back.

Very versatile and surprisingly good quality light source. Thumbs up.

The PHOTOOLEX TOFU portable LED is a really convenient item to have if you want to improve the way you take pictures or videos. This light can be used for streaming, photography, and vlogging. It has the option to flip between the two modes of white light with adjustable white balance or the red color light with adjustable hue. I thought it would have the 6 different colors that are on the pictures but it only has 2 different ones. Maybe, there is a way to activate the other lights but I haven't been able to figure that out. The TOFU light has a long battery life, since I only use it for pictures it lasts longer for me. The light includes a small charging cable and a shoe mount adapter. Also, it comes with magnet fits on DSLR cameras and GoPro. The best part about this light is that is literally pocket sizing and could be super bright. I recommend this item if you are looking for a small and powerful light to better the quality of your videos or pictures.

This light is so handy for me to photograph small things close up. I use my iphone to do a lot of close up photography of little things and I always seem to cast a shadow or have a reflection and using this light is great. The diffuser is good and the ability to change the temperature to give either a warm or more intense light and it is easy to adjust the brightness when holding the light by hand which is my preferred method. It actually came with a small tripod too. It has the ability to do colors and other things which I haven't found a use for yet.

As someone who makes YouTube videos, I’ve accumulated a lot of little RGB lights over the years, but this is by far the coolest, I’ve seen. The overall design is similar to what you’re used to in that it has a CCT mode, RGB mode and some pre-set scene modes, but it’s the overall execution of how these are employed that really sets this little light apart from the others. The style is quirky and cool. It comes in a package that literally looks like a box of tofu. And where others would have boring buttons or sliders, this light uses giant knobs on the side have a fun retro-modern kind of vibe that actually work just as good as they look. From the bottom knob, you can switch it on, turn to CCT mode, RGB mode or the scene modes. The top button allows you to change the intensity of the settings in the various modes, i.e.: brightness, saturation, etc. And of course there’s a magnetic back and not one, but two tripod mounts - one on the bottom and one on the top. This is a really well-designed little RGB light that stands out in a crowded market place of similar lights. This light both looks great and works great - definitely would recommend.

Brightness is incredible. 100% is very bright. Depending on where it will be used I’m sure it’ll come in handy. It’s pocket size, but realistically it would probably be best inside my bag. The functions are also pretty sweet with various kinds of effects and color spectrums.

I’ll be mostly using this for photography in low light areas. Might get into vlogging, but I’m certain it’ll fulfill all my needs.

The button and wheels on the left side to adjust brightness and change color feel satisfying to turn like a dial. So glad I came across this light on tiktok! PHOTOOLEX was even nice enough to send me a tripod and diffuser to put over the light to make the brightness less intense. What a great company! Thank you PHOTOOLEX, Keep up the great work.

This little light packs a punch! It is very bright and I love that you can easily change the color temperature and overall brightness. If you're using it in daylight or in an okay-lit area, it won't make THAT much of a difference. But I think in more dim settings, this is perfect. It's also super versatile in that it's got different modes you can easily switch through... from police car lights... to club/party type lights. It's very portable and is about the size of an applesauce cup. I also like that it comes with a standard shoe that'll fit most any camera. It came already pretty close to a full charge, but I decided to charge it to full capacity before using it. I found that it operated continuously on 100% brightness for about 2 hours. It took roughly 2 hours and 15 minutes to charge the battery from it being dead. My only wish is that the magnet were stronger. The magnet works, but barely. I found the small magnet would cause the light to slip a little if you poked/touched it. But that's a small issue, as you'd probably be able to mount it on a camera or tripod. I used a selfie stick to hold the light as I got video of a subject. Overall, I'm happy with the light.

This is a really nice and portable photography light and the case and design I really like its unique in design.

The light is made of plastic. The dials are made of aluminum. The graphic is a durable textured plastic and attached. It has a nice diffusion layer. But it needs more. I recommend the diffusion cover that comes with it, don't worry its bright enough to get through it and still light up what you need.

I use it now as a product photography light so I'm mainly using it in the 9900k temp white light but this does have RGB colors and is adjustable by the 2 dials on the side. This light comes with a mini tripod and a cold shoe mount for your camera. This light has a big temperature range and can be dialed in to almost any temp. Using the M button on the back of it will allow you to adjust brightness and other features.

This is charged by a type C plug on the back. it charges slow at 5v 2 amp (10watts). If this was used as a back light for a video or a stream, it might die half way. It doesn't have much battery life. mind you I normally run it at 100 percent brightness but you got about 1 to 1.5 hour until it dies. so its good when you just need it on for 15-20 min at a time but will not last long. If you turn down the brightness this will allow it to last longer.

Final thought
I love the design. very unique and stylish but did not sacrifice its effectiveness. Works great as a photography lamp for product photography. I would recommend this. but just be aware of the lack luster battery.
