to figure it out. I found the instructions to be lacking and not very clear. So it seems that the unit will use some batteries, maybe trying to figure it all drained them. Came with only 1 strap, there are slots for 2, 2 would be better trying to secure it to a tree. The night vision is good. Have not had any luck with the wild life as of yet, I have repositioned it to another location. Will update when I get some pics. The main reason for the 4 stars is the lack of clear instructions. Update, motion VERY sensitive. Put camera up, over 4 days took 7000 pics of pine needle hanging on a limb and swaying in front of it, 6 feet away. Make sure there is nothing in front so that it activates camera. Batteries Died. :(

We placed this at the end of our long driveway to find out who's camping out there. We also placed a solar light so can't really tell you about "night vision". We get good quality video that can be viewed on a small screen or using the microSD.So excited to view the activity, some animals, some human ;) Easy to set up. Great, detailed, instruction manual. Lots of possible adjustments/set ups.

This camera works well for helping to track, monitor and catch lost and stray cats and dogs. It's a way to keep track of they are returning to a certain location. Many rescue groups use cameras like these. The night vision and picture quality are quite good.

I really like this game camera. We live in the country and it's fun to see what passes on our property when we aren't looking. The camera is smaller than some game cameras we have used. It's a nice size. It was easy to set up and I like that you can store photos on a small SD card. Overall, we are really pleased with it.

This product is worth every penny invested. Excellent image quality of both videos and images. I have the previous 16 megapixels but this one is definitely impressive. As I mentioned in the previous model it is versatile because it can be used by the hunter, in outdoor activities, for the safety of your home or business. Its construction is solid from a good quality material. The straps are also of excellent quality. More than pleased if I could give more than 5 stars ✨

This is a fun camera for lots of uses, I plan on checking out the local wildlife that visits my back yard. We have foxes, coyotes, deer, wild turkeys, and other interesting visitors, but I’m never fast enough with my regular camera. This trail camera is very sensitive and captures any motion in front of it in either photo or video, or both if you like. The system menu is simple to understand and setup of this camera is really quick and simple. Looking forward to seeing everything it captures!

I stream hummingbirds building nests and raising babies in them from my backyard. When it's building time, I need to be on the lookout but it's really difficult to catch the quick hummingbirds without sitting with your eyes peeled for a really long time. This is the perfect solution.Make sure you have eight AA batteries and a 32G micro SD card. Hummingbirds aren't active at night, so I only needed to put four batteries in (you need 8 if you want it to work at night). The sensitivity of the camera is great and even as quickly as hummingbirds are, it was able to catch images. Because I'm only using it during the day, I can't comment about the quality of nighttime photos but I'm happy with the ones it takes during the day. This is easy to install, which is important. Overall, I recommend this camera. It's serving its purpose for us and we're satisfied. I hope this review has been helpful to you in your purchasing decision. Have a blessed day.

So far I have only been able to test this out in our back yard, but eventually it will be used in the woods. The picture quality is really great for a camera at this price point, the camera set up and use is really easy. The only thing that I dont love right now is that it takes 8 double A batteries to operate and I can only imagine that they will drain quickly and this would become very expensive to use. I would suggest maybe investing in some rechargeable batteries. Also it does. Ot come with micro SD card, so that's something to keep in mind when purchasing this, you will need one of those to operate the camera. Otherwise really great picture quality.

The model I received to test is an HC - 810 a digital wildlife camera with a 20-megapixel CMOS sensor. When you open the box, right on top is a little card saying thank you and noting that you have a free 18-month warranty if you send them an email with your order ID. Inside the box, the trail cam itself is packed securely in a plastic basket with foam sleeve around it to protect it from damage in shipping. It also has a pretty thick instruction manual, because it is printed in multiple languages. Actual instructions in the English section is about 10 pages, it’s not difficult to set up. Also inside the box is an adjustable strap for tree mounting and a USB cable. The trail cam has two watch snaps on the front that hold it securely closed, and allow the entire front of the camera to open like one big door. Inside the open door, on the left, you have a small viewing screen and the buttons to set up the camera, the lower part of the side has the port for the memory card, with an on/test/off switch. On the right, is a removable panel that hides the battery area. You can use 4 AA batteries, or 8. The instructions seem to say that you’ll need 8 batteries to have enough current for the infrared flash to work at night. The camera itself is pretty lightweight, but once you add the 8 double A batteries it's got a little heft to it. As far as your picture storage, I like that this takes a TF, or micro SD card as I call it. Many trail cams seem to require the larger SD card, but I have found the micro SD cards are less expensive. The maximum size it says accepts is 32GB, and you're probably going to want to make sure that it is a fast enough card to handle the data transfer of an HD camera. I used a 32 Gig Class 10.I put the camera in test mode and went through the menu, setting my preferred settings. When I first turned the camera to the on position the internal screen went dark immediately and it didn't appear that anything was happening. After fiddling with it for a moment, and checking the playback, I did record several high-quality pictures of my nose hairs and the ceiling. [yes, I’m rolling eyes at myself] I try it again, paying a little more attention this time. When you first turn it on there is a red light on the front of the camera that blinks for just a very few seconds. If it had blinked a little longer than 5 seconds, I might have noticed it the first time. I then decided that I should read the instructions. Oh yes, there it is --underneath the menu explanations, it says that when you first turn it on it will flash red for five seconds.I set the camera in a corner of my living room for an afternoon and evening, and with people and pets moving in an out, it too over 200 shots. All the shots in my dim living room came out in black and white. I may have to lower sensitivity a bit, I’ll need to experiment a bit with it. I did notice that according to the battery meter on the screen that it used almost a ¼ of the battery at that time. I installed 8 new alkaline AA batteries. In a similar camera that I’ve installed previously in my yard, I’m almost 2 months on a set of batteries. I’m going to keep an eye on this-- if the internal reading on the battery meter is correct-- high usage like this isn’t good in a trail cam.

I live in an interesting area that has tons of different animals passing through during the year. However I've never been able to see all of it unless I'm peering through the windows frequently. I've seen all types of birds and some squirrels so I knew it'd be fun interesting footage if I had a camera. So I placed it outside with a view of my flowers, some trees, and a bird feeder. I was able to capture images of plenty of birds and squirrels which was expected. Then I saw a few cats and a group/gang of raccoons once! Which was really unexpected. Then there was a falcon hunting one of those squirrels! It was hilarious and very fascinating to see. Would never have guessed and the squirrel got away btw. ;)This is a really nice quality camera that serves its purpose well! Definitely something I'd recommend even if you're an amateur like me.
